Help please

I suspect someone doing 'sock-pupetery' as I continue to maintain the Lebanon national football team without allowing any false information or vandelisim to be submited on the page. Please let me know what you think, I found found that on the Lebanon national football team: Revision history, the user 178.135.43.184, 178.135.244.99, 178.135.40.55 and 77.42.188.239 all appear to be the same people and continue to re-create accounts and submit the same info on the page just because they think it looks good, when I have maintained that page with references and have eliminated all the false information. I have had to re-vert edits from this guy three times within the last 24 hours. Can you please help me put a stop to this? He is doing this on purpose and needs to be stopped so I decided to inform you because since I have began using wikipedia I noticed that you User:Jaellee, have some sort of experience with wikipedia and some sort of proper say in this type of thing. Hope you can help. User:181hamburgerwcheese (User talk:181hamburgerwcheese) 11:46 9 January 2013 (AEST)

Good evening. Thank you for your reply. In a friendly way. --34 super héros (talk) 23:33, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

2012–13 Alemannia Aachen season

Are you familiar with the financial problems and relegation for Alemannia Aachen? Would you be able to add something about the situation? Kingjeff (talk) 01:56, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Apologies

I want to offer you my absolute sincerest apologies for my last remark. I'm sooo sorry.

Take care now, WazzaAzzaw (talk) 22:53, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi there JAELLEE, AL "here",

about this player: 1 - the Thai user continues to revert me in the Euro currency. If you take the time to see the edits by his many many anon IPs, you will see that he ONLY edits in this article (!), quite intriguing and i would say without having a proof that this seems like a case of wikipersecution towards me (odd when i never even messaged the person);

2 - now they are at it again in the player's city of birth: ALL of the sources we have say he "saw the light of day" in Estella-Lizarra not Ayegui, and that includes the Athletic Bilbao official website. User:Galiar went as far as to insert his birthplace as ESTELLA-LIZARRA, AYEGUI (quite an impossibility there, to be born in TWO places at the same time). Think you can lend a hand?

Attentively, happy weekend - --AL (talk) 21:19, 22 February 2013 (UTC)

Last edit

Hello, I made that last edit because there is no such word as "fishes". The plural of "fish" is "fish". I don't consider good grammar and syntax to be unconstructive. Regards, Rebecca. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rebeccanicolesuzanne (talkcontribs) 02:00, 30 March 2013 (UTC)

But, Jupp has already announced to the whole world that he will be retiring after this season. And, Pep Guardiola has also signed a contract with FCB to start managerial duties from next season onwards. So, this are already going to be fixed and won't change. It's not like the championship that FCB are 2 points away a week ago and they can surrender it to BVB by getting a very, very unlucky losing streak. Your views? Cheers. Hi there JAELLEE, alles gut?

from what i see, now the Thai vandal now has a "pal" in England (or did the guy went to England on holiday?). Now, not only was the Euro currency wikilink removed, now much much more important stuff was removed, like the REFERENCED fact the player is the most expensive transfer ever in the German League (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Javi_Mart%C3%ADnez&diff=545669300&oldid=544730905).

Fighting this battle all alone, tough but i'll handle...happy weekend - --AL (talk) 07:29, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

2012–13 SC Preußen Münster season

Can you help update the matches? Please and Thank you. Kingjeff (talk) 05:41, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Ok, that's no problem. Also, on a side note, I put some German football club season articles up for deletion here. I don't think these articles have any hope of being improved. Kingjeff (talk) 18:28, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi there JAELLEE, AL "here",

i have improved this player's article to the best of my abilities. Found another ref in DE.WIKI, which i retrieved to his piece here. However, my German is a little rusty, so i'm not sure i translated the info correctly.

Please read last lines of CLUB CAREER: i inserted that he made Borussia's all-time XI per said new reference, is it correct? Please remove/compose all you have too, i (we) don't want any wrong info in the articles.

Thank you very much in advance, happy weekend - --AL (talk) 15:36, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Many many thanks, great work! So, what does "Bis vor zwei Jahren habe ich auch in der Weisweiler-Elf von Mönchengladbach gespielt" mean? Judging from your last inputs, was it two friendly matches with Borussia players led by legendary Hennes Weisweiler? Kind of confusing to me... --AL (talk) 17:46, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
  • No, i wasn't implying that Weisweiler played there, i thought he was manager when Criens and the others assembled. Even so, many thanks for your explanations, keep it up and congratulations to FC Bayern Munich - i was rooting for FC Barcelona, but can't argue with Bayern's superior arguments. --AL (talk) 19:12, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi there man,

again you come to the rescue (i hope!): can you check the first reference in this player's article and see if i translated the SPOX title correctly? Talk about the luck of this guy, only profi game for VfB Stuttgart he ever played... Not much luck in my country as you can see from the infobox as well.

As for the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final and your question: no, now i have no preferences, just hoping to see a great match. Did you see yesterday's league game? I did not (and it's not a clean comparison as both teams fielded several reserves - i.e. Mario Gómez is not reserve-material, he his first-XI material in my opinion, but the truth shows us him as a bench player this days), only saw Borussia Dortmund miss a penalty. That's one big conclusion we can draw once again, if the game goes to a penalty shootout, this guy can save two or three with his eyes closed!

Again, thanks a million for your help --AL (talk) 15:59, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Ah, Bayern played with ten and still did not lose. That's official, if they don't win the European Cup this year i'll eat my hat (don't have one but i'll buy one just so i eat it)! Regarding your doubt about the player brought in by Daum...it's this guy i was telling you about, Simanic (see match report here http://www.fussballdaten.de/championsleague/1993/vorrunde/runde1/leeds-vfbstuttgart/), only two foreign players were allowed by UEFA then (a bit too much then, but what we see nowadays is not better in the other extreme, teams with 10 or 11 foreigners, you have VfL Wolfsburg's example in your country, in Portugal it's much much WORSE), after Simanic entered the pitch Stuttgart became "illegal" with him, Sverrisson and Dubajic.

Cheers again --AL (talk) 22:11, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Again, i hope you can come to the rescue! In this guy's article, i retrieved two more refs, in German. In the first i'm only missing one word, the second one (Der Spiegel) is more complicated. I could do it with a lot of work, but it would not be 100% accurate. You can do it in less than one minute, please provide the TRANS_TITLES kind sir.

Alles gut, vielen dank and viel Spass --AL (talk) 17:29, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Exactly why should the players only have their domestic appearances showing? that's just plain stupidity. It should say how many matches they've played for the club in general. Explain to me, with certified logic, why.

Hi there JAELLEE, how's it going?

i added another ref, tried to improve display of the other, translation included. But it turned out impossible, only got the first part, the other spoke of dishwashers and archrivals? Must be a Germanism i don't know of, don't want to risk it, can you help me (and WP of course)?

Thanks in advance, "see" you --AL (talk) 14:13, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Great story, thanks for sharing it with me. Bayern's got it better by the day, Götze out, Hummels day-by-day (not that i think Bayern would have any problem should they face Borussia's strongest XI)... --AL (talk) 16:20, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Rudnevs is really of russian descent. Why you are deleted the version? --188.108.81.72 (talk) 19:55, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

(Copied my answer from the IP's talkpage, maybe it's a shared IP and won't see the message next time)
I deleted these edits
  • because the English was bad. Example: To the Russian community is the family of Rudņevs. This is not really understandable. Maybe it should have been Rudņevs's family belongs to the Russian community but I don't want to make any additions to the article based on guessing.
  • because the templates for references are obviously copied from the German Wikipedia and should not be used here. Editors without knowledge of German will have trouble understanding the parameters.
  • because he caption of an image in the Lech Poznań section was broken due an edit which didn't make any sense at all.

All in all, the article was worse off than before the edit. --Jaellee (talk) 20:16, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Javier Pinola - Preseason chat

Hi there JAELLEE, AL "here",

1 - i remember raising this discussion a while ago at WPFOOTY, and noone had a problem with it. There's no point in saying "JAVIER PINOLA (in this case) at BDFUTBOL" or "JAVIER PINOLA at FUTBOL XXI", unless we're dealing with vandalism or a human error it's OBVIOUS the links in Pinola's page will belong to Pinola, no need to refer to the player's name hence. Can you accommodate? If you can't nevermind, i give up (by the way i've tried to do just that, accommodate, by removing two links that are poor and adding one with a predesignated template, TRANSFERMARKT.com).

2 - Pep Guardiola did not need much time to know who we preferred less as a striker, the national guy! Do you know if Gómez expressed his desire to leave and the manager could not do anything about it, or was it Guardiola who did not want him to begin with? And, after saying he would not approach FC Barcelona players, who does he sign? Thiago Alcântara! I know, Alcântara said he wanted to leave Barcelona because of playing time, but who is he going to relegate to the bench in Munich? Kroos, Schweini, Martínez? Really odd.

Happy week, keep it up --AL (talk) 14:00, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

  • Yes, another tall strong guy like Ibrahimovic did not fare well under Guardiola either, and he's more skilled than Gómez. Thanks for "listening", cheers --AL (talk) 19:23, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Iker Casillas

Regarding your message about a change I made to Iker Casillas' entry, I have changed Casillas' appearances with Real Madrid back to 654, citing Real Madrid's official website. I hope you agree this constitutes a reliable source.

Ah! You are absolutely right! I'm very new to Wiki-editing, forgive my incompetence! I must say, however, that it seems rather odd to list only domestic league apps. Why not list total apps? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnselmoKarkov (talkcontribs) 14:33, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Brian Laudrup

Hello loads of websites seem convinced that Laudrup won forward of the year for Bayen Munich in 1990-1991 season so im tempted to put it back on his honours. On the reference I used for him winning 3rd best forward while he was at Urdigen, it has all winners but strangly he dosent seam to be in the list for 1990-91 season for Bayern when he had a better season??? Possibly a miss print....Anyway you can find out since you seam to be in charge of this page so we can finally confirm this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billyblackburn87 (talkcontribs) 22:42, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Kicker/laudrup

Please note that Brian Laudrup is not a striker, he played as a winger through out his whole career. The term "forward" get miss-used sometimes. At world cup 98 he was rated as one of the best forwards but he played right wing. lol. 9 goals in a season as a winger is very good. I also know in that season he made loads of assists and was arguably your best player that season along with effenburg. So im confused how he is rated higher for the season he had with uerdingen than he was with his 1st season with Bayern. Is there anyway to translate the kicker site to English? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billyblackburn87 (talkcontribs) 22:45, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Laudrup

Strange. Laudrup is not a forward. For example in 1992 he was rated by FIFA as the 5th best player in the world, in 1992 he only scored 2 goals for Bayern and didn't score any goals for Denmark in the euros. Is that proof that he is not a forward? Because why would a forward scoring only 2 goals get a nomination for world player of the year??? Oh well.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billyblackburn87 (talkcontribs) 23:14, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Laudrup

Its a fact that Laudrup was nominated for Fifa world player of the year in 1991-1992 season and scored 2 goals for Bayern and 0 goals in euro 92 and was also included in euro 92 team of the tournament. You believe he played as a forward? What forward in the world would be rated as one of the best players in the world for that season if he only scored 2 goals for both club and country???? He played as a winger for Bayern and that is a fact — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billyblackburn87 (talkcontribs) 23:35, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

I know that he is of Kurdish descent because this link speaks for itself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:German_people_of_Kurdish_descent and please review it, Thank you. --68.229.239.155 (talk) 21:36, 6 October 2013 (UTC) But I am not vandalising it. Besides, he is obviously from Qamishli, Syrian Kurdistan, which is mainly a Kurdish region, so how do you explain that and the fact that it says that German people of Kurdish descent are Aias Aosman, who is one of them. See, I patched up the puzzle. --68.229.239.155 (talk) 21:54, 6 October 2013 (UTC) I guess not. Help / Chit chat

Hi there JAELLEE,

1 - Could you help me in Franco Zuculini's article please? I need translation on the second reference, other than that i think i more or less improved the piece.

2 - Bayern on a roll, even though Arjen Robben is returning to his old (injured) self it seems. Is Holger Badstuber's injury really that serious? What is exactly wrong with him? Hopefully Barcelona or Bayern take the Champions League this year (would not mind either), just as long as Chelsea or Real Madrid do not take it (yes, i am Portuguese, but am a little fed up with the arrogance, poor sportsmanship and lack of education of this guy and this guy).

Happy (rest of) weekend, thanks in advance --AL (talk) 19:55, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

  • Nope, can't support any team in Portugal, Portuguese football is filled up with foreign players, you can see teams in DIV3 with 15+ foreigners. In Portugal, each team can have as many EU players as they want and, to add insult to injury, Brazilian and former colonies players (Angolans, Cape Verdeans, etc) also don't count as foreign. Take a look at Benfica and Porto rosters for example, each have FOUR (!!) national players (in the entire squad, not in the starting XI), your Bayern, one of the strongest teams in the world, usually fields 6, sometimes 5 but sometimes 7, Barcelona fielded 11 players from its youth system in one game, usually 7 in their main starting XI.

After the Bosman ruling, lowly teams will never be caught dead doing what Steaua Bucharest did in the 1986 European Cup Final, one has to come to that conclusion. I like Barcelona (but am not a die-hard fan, nothing of the sort, even if i lived there i would not attend a live game, prefer to watch it on TV and preferably with the sound off, the players are the stars and some "reporters" don't understand that), and like the approach of Athletic Bilbao very much, but that's about it.

Thanks for the Zuculini assistance, "see" you --AL (talk) 00:39, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

AIV report on Fogrodnik

Regarding your AIV report, I just wanted to drop you a note to clarify on why it was declined. It's not because ES&L necessarily agreed with their behavior. AIV is only for cases of clear vandalism or spam -- basically, anything that 9 out of 10 users could look at for 10 seconds and say "yeah, that's vandalism". That's because it's intended for rapid response to disruptive editing, and to do that, it must be a clear-cut case that doesn't require discussion.

Anything more complicated, like a user adding valid stats but not changing the correct infobox parameters, is not vandalism, and should not be reported at AIV. Instead, if you need an admin to intervene in a case like that, post at a more appropriate venue that allows discussion, such as WP:ANI. —Darkwind (talk) 23:34, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Doubt

Hi there JAELLEE, how's it going?

quick doubt i meant to bring forward last time i messaged you, but forgot: is Paul Caligiuri in any way related to Daniel Caligiuri and Marco Caligiuri? Could be, since he played all his late career in Germany. No reference in any of the three articles in WP, but that is not conclusive evidence.

Place of Birth for people born in Estonia

Hey, you act as if no discussion is possible and that you have the complete right to decide, based on no arguments. Here are my arguments:

  • According to international law, Estonia was an occupied country and its independent status was widely supported in the free world.
  • Supporting your logic, we would add "Paris, German occupied France" for someone born in Paris in 1942.
  • Estonia is also a distinct geographical term, while the SSR is a political regime, which is totally unnecessary in the infobox.
  • Even more, the issue really has been discussed before: here, here, here, here and most importantly HERE.

So please, please read through these discussions. There actually is a consensus about people born in Estonia at the time. Ca. 99.9% in fact have the birthplace simply as "Estonia" and you are trying to push the "Estonian SSR" into a single outstanding article. What is your exact agenda? I will revert to the "Estonia" option tomorrow. If you really wish to change something here, please don't start a lengthy discussion personally with me, but do it publicly, as proper to Wikipedia.H2ppyme (talk) 21:44, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

If I have made some formatting errors please let me know and I'll fix them individually for each thread rather than doing a rollback. BTW I'm the DRN volunteer coordinator this month. I look forward to working together. Thanks for your help! --KeithbobTalk 19:49, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
