Request for help

Hi there JAELLEE, VASCO here,

what do you think can be done about this "user" (please here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/189.30.99.242)? He has received his fair share of warnings, and he continues to remove stuff from boxes/intros, and also inserts new teams for players when the moves are only pure speculation.

I have tried in what has to be his (my) mother tongue, Portuguese, no luck there. What else can we do? Thanks and happy week - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 21:18, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

• It's more or less useless with Brazilian "users", with the number of IPs to which they can have access (here is the same guy at work http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:187.55.22.15; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/187.5.176.172), left him another message in Portuguese, chances are he might not even read it... --Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:40, 23 August 2011 (UTC)

From what i see, the last IP, the one that i mention in the WP:FOOTY discussion, is still active (four days in a row). I guess we could/should ask that it be blocked. --Vasco Amaral (talk) 19:02, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Metadata (WP:Persondata)

Servus! Thanks for quickly adding the ref over at Michael Klauß (footballer born 1987). I also saw you had changed the double-S to the eszett in the Persondata template. Do you know if the metadata supports diacritics now? Because I had asked some time ago at the relevant discussion page and never got an answer. Cheers buddy! Hi, thanks for your reply. I think this resulted from some partially reverted vandalism earlier which I did not manage correctly. I know that he does not play for Chelsea, I have been trying to rectify that mistake. I fixed it earlier (replacing mentions of Chelsea with Bayern Munich), but it seems to have come undone. I am as confused as you are as to why it seems that I am adding false information. This is not my intention. Every time I try and fix the problem, it seems to go wrong. Therefore, I propose the following. If you fix the information in the article so that it is correct now, I shall avoid editing the article completely. I'm not sure why I keep adding false information (perhaps I'm clicking something accidentally, I don't know). I don't want to annoy you or anyone else, so I'll just stop editing the article. Thanks for fixing it for me; I'm not quite sure what happened. Don't feel you need to apologise - it wasn't your fault. Anyway, I expect that the vandalism today was because today is the last day of the English transfer window. There is, as usual, a lot of speculation flying about, so people will edit the page giving club changes that they've heard (often in good faith, sometimes not). I noticed quite a bit of vandalism on the pages of many player about whom there has been a lot of speculation. There might still be a little vandalism in the next few days, but I expect it to calm down now. As I said before, I'm sorry for the problems, and thank you for understanding.
