Continued use of deprecated sub-national icons
I see you re-added your non-standard table format for sister cities in the Gifu, Gifu article here (an edit that also reintroduced a whole bunch of other problems at the same time). If you take the time to read the WP:MOSFLAG guidelines regarding sub-national flags you will see that such flag icons should not be used in situations such as this. This has been explained to you before, and your inappropriate edits have been criticized by other editors above, so you really need to adhere to Wikipedia guidelines and consensus, rather than just charging ahead with your own preferred style. --DAJF (talk) 00:25, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, could you please not add stuff like this unless there is a clear consensus that having these symbols enhances articles? At present, the consensus on flag use is embodied by WP:MOSFLAG. Could you please comment at the talk page there and try to generate consensus for these if they are important to you? Otherwise I am afraid they will have to be removed. Please don't add any more while this is under discussion. Thanks a lot for your understanding. --John (talk) 05:59, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
Use of minor edit flag
Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. This edit, for example, was not a minor one. Please also ensure that all material you add is backed up by sources. Thank you. --John (talk) 18:10, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- I would have thought that adding two words would be a minor edit? The edit was backed up on the Ndola page, which I did not edit. I did not think this would cause a dispute. Jacsam2 (talk) 19:17, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
