Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jackteitelbaum, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Notes
[edit]Here are my notes:
- The section "Rape and Violence during Katrina" is too detailed for the article about the Superdome, as this is something that would be better covered at Effect of Hurricane Katrina on the Louisiana Superdome. However there are still other issues with this section, as it is written like it's a persuasive argument - in other words "if... then..., here's the evidence... therefore...". We can only summarize what has been explicitly stated in the source material.
- This needs more sourcing as a whole - it's undersourced and in some sections, completely unsourced. The Katrina content especially needs more sourcing since any claim of crime and wrongdoing will be inherently controversial. Academic and scholarly sourcing would be the strongest for this.
- The Forbes source is a self-published blog, as it's an article released through their contributor network as opposed to something written by one of the magazine's staff members. The blog posts aren't reviewed for accuracy or even really edited for grammar or spelling - the only thing the site looks for is to make sure that they don't have anything that would be obviously profane or other material that would violate the standard terms of service guidelines that exist on most websites. You couldn't have known this though - the site doesn't really advertise that these are blogs.
- There's already a section on the name change, which is located at Mercedes-Benz_Superdome#2010–present, so any info that isn't already in the section should be merged in once you have new sourcing.
- Be careful of spelling and grammar and also make sure that you avoid slang or euphemisms, as these may not be easily read by people who are unfamiliar with the phrase.
- If replacing a section, make sure that you have good sourcing and that the writing is stronger than the current writing. The soccer section is a little vague, as it doesn't really say who was the first team to play in the Superdome, whereas the prior version does state this. To be honest, I don't know that the section really needs to be re-written. Expanded maybe, but not really re-written.
I hope this helps! Make sure to review your training modules as well! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:04, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
