paper wasp
[edit]Hola. What country is the video from? They look like something from either South America or Southeast Asia. I don't believe there are any wasps like that in Europe. Dyanega (talk) 20:14, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Dyanega, the video was taken in Guadalajara, Mexico. I believe European Paper Wasp can be found there too. Jackbravo (talk) 00:28, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- I just uploaded this other picture that maybe can help: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wasp_nest_formation_on_crystal_door.jpg Jackbravo (talk) 00:36, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- This is helpful. These are wasps in the tribe Epiponini, and they are very diverse in the New World tropics. The photo is not good enough for me to be positive about the genus, but they can be definitively classified as epiponines. Perhaps another editor will recognize the genus. - Thank you @Dyanega
- Would you recommend I add the videos in the Epiponini page? Jackbravo (talk) 23:08, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

If you can find someone who can identify them to genus or species, then I think adding them to the appropriate article would be fine, but not for an article about a higher taxonomic rank (such as Epiponini, which is a tribe composed of many genera). Dyanega (talk) 23:23, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
