Molasky

you had no right to delete the molasky sport page. just because youve never herd of it be fore doesnt mean it doesnt exist. i would appreciate it if you would put it back up because it took us a long time to do ll of that. i would also like to know why you deleted the page and who gave you the authority. the page was a work in progress along with the up and coming sport of Molasky that is currently sweeping sw cape coral. at time i am very dissapointed in your actions and am not happy that you did not first contact us or investigate the sport any further than the wiki page.(Tjhill (talk) 01:21, 19 November 2008 (UTC))

Actually, I was well within my rights to delete that page, I was given that authority by the Wikipedia community. The simple fact that something exists does not make it notable, it has to have coverage in reliable 3rd party sources for starters, which considering the fact that the sport had its first tournament a week or so ago, are unlikely to exist. Also, I did not delete the article based purely on its content, I did several web searches to see if anyone had mentioned it. And found nothing.--Jac16888 (talk) 01:36, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

so when you didnt find anything you didnt think to contact me to see if i had any evidence or what not. and just because you didnt find it means its not real? we have yet to get the sport on other web pages, but that shouldnt matter. i thought this site was for explaining things and that page explained the sport of molasky. and even if it is made up theres no point in deleting it, its not like theres a limit to what you can put on this site. and if no one searches it so what. i just dont think what you did was right in the least and i think it was a porely thought out decision that was made with out proper investigation, and i still dont agree with your decision and will continue to argue the point until i am given a reason that has validity and support. (Tjhill (talk) 02:02, 19 November 2008 (UTC))

This site is not for "explaining things" it is an encyclopedia. No I didn't think to contact you, and I would see no reason to, if you have evidence, you should have put it on the page. Do you have evidence? Was the sport on the news? in a paper?, has anybody outside the group of people who made it ever even hear of it? Honestly, you say, even if it's made up there's no point in deleting it and that there's no limit to what we can put on this site, but think of it this way, every single day, people have brand new ideas, often new games or words or other things, often at school, do you really think they should all have Wikipedia articles? Because that's what happens a hell of a lot, some bunch of students comes up with a fantastic new game involving a tennis ball and basketball nets, and decide the best way to spread it about is to write it on Wikipedia. If we kept every single one of those articles, Wikipedia would be chaos, it would have no academic merit whatsoever. You can continue to argue this as long as you want, but can i point out that you would be better placed to try and demonstrate how "molasky" is notable rather than simply repeating that I'm wrong--Jac16888 (talk) 02:19, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

to whom it may concern

Hello my name is Michael J. this is concerning the Molasky page Deletion i'am a coach and teacher at the local higschool in Cape Coral and students at there school are forming the new club Molasky,we recently had a sponsored tournament at the local park. A reporter from a local newspaper(Cape Coral Daily Breeze) was present at the event although his story was not published. At the tournament we had an outcome of 12 teams and many spectators came out to watch the new sport. This sport is far from a made up playground game. Thanks sincerely, Michael j. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tjhill (talkcontribs) 02:41, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

So basically, the evidence you have of notability is that a group of students from one school played the sport and that a person from the local newspaper, which itself does not have an article, was present, and even the powers that be at said paper did not think it was worth publishing, and all of this comes from a teacher at the school in question, hardly a neutral party. In what way does any of that suggest notability to you? And you still are not listening, i'm not sayings its a playground game, i'm saying that while it may be notable to you, it does not have general notabilty, and therefore does not have an article--Jac16888 (talk) 02:49, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Gallo's Egg

Response to your comments regarding Gallo's Egg:

The article is not a report in support of AIDS denialism but was commissioned by Roland Chalifoux of Semmelweis International to investigate the integrity of Professor Duesberg and journalist Celia Farber. It provides appropriate references to its sources complying with Wikiepdia rules. The report is also copy right free so no infringement takes place.

Your request to delete this article is unreasonable.

Thank you for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whereistheproof (talkcontribs) 07:29, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I give no opinion on my personal beliefs regarding the subject of the article, and I'm aware that it is not a copyright infringement, if it was, I would already have deleted it. My deletion request is perfectly valid though because the article contents no encyclopedic content whatsoever, this is an encyclopedia, not a collection of reports and documents, would you expect to find something like this in the encyclopedia Britannica? Please remember that we are not your own personal soapbox--Jac16888 (talk) 07:37, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
On what grounds is it not a copyright infringement? Can you point at where it is stated on the apparent source for this content that it is in the public domain, or under a license which allows its inclusion in Wikipedia? Nevard (talk) 08:56, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
I chose not to delete it as a copyvio, a) because while it does not say its under public domain anywhere, neither does it anywhere say that it is copyrighted, and b) because of whereistheproofs constant insistence that it is public domain--Jac16888 (talk) 12:23, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough. Sorry for being combative, I was feeling a little strained. Nevard (talk) 13:11, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey don't worry about it, it was starting to piss me off too. Lack of sleep wasn't helping--Jac16888 (talk) 15:58, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Animeiso?

Hi, i was just wandering why did you delete my 'Animeiso' article thing yesterday. Did i break any rules? devilz-fury

Hi, unfortunately, your site does not appear to meet our notability guidelines regarding websites, there ore millions upon millions of websites out there, we can't include all them, so we have to be strict in our inclusion guidelines. In our to demonstrate notability, your site has to have relible coverage in 3rd party sources, as well as to not read like an advert--Jac16888 (talk) 12:23, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I wonder if you can help. I requested last night that NHS Trust be deleted as the article is now at NHS trust. I assumed that WP would automatically redirect any articles linking to NHS Trust to NHS trust as case often does not matter. This does not seem to be the case. Is it because there's a delete history? If there's no way to resolve, I'll need to recreate NHS Trust #REDIRECT NHS trust. Thanks for advice, Millstream3 (talk) 10:01, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I assumed the same to be honest, very odd, but i see it has been recreated with redirect now, which is fine, so problem solved--Jac16888 (talk) 12:23, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Re Gallo's Egg

I'd noticed that (see WP:ANI#Single purpose account socking to add AIDS denialism copyright violations, which was where the article came to my attention). I'm not sure another speedy is appropriate, as the article is now about the report rather than simply reproducing it, and it does make an assertion of notability. Whether that assertion can be verified is another matter. Since the article is very different now, I'd suggest a new AfD with a link to the previous (as per usual) if you plan on sending it in that direction. Regards, EyeSerenetalk 12:24, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Just saw that, the article doesn't really suggest that much notability, so I think afd is the way to go, although i think I'll give it a few days to avoid all the drama--Jac16888 (talk) 12:27, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Yep, my thoughts too. To be honest if it does get speedied I won't be too surprised, and if you were thinking of doing the honours I think you have case. However, given that the editor is obviously very new I'm trying not to be too bitey, although with the agenda they seem to have I'm not hugely hopeful about their future here... An AfD delay should also give time for the checkuser to come through, so hopefully if it does go to AfD the next won't be as socky as the last ;) EyeSerenetalk 12:38, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
It's been renominated for CSD anyway, so never mind ;) EyeSerenetalk 12:55, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Sorry was called away again. Good call on the redirect though, hopefully that should end all this--Jac16888 (talk) 15:58, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Experimenta deletion

Hello,

I really want to understand what went wrong with experimenta article, since I'm really new with WP. I've seen other similar examples in WP, and I want to know what to change in the article in order to not be deleted. Can you guide me a bit?

thanks alex —Preceding unsigned comment added by Experimenta (talkcontribs) 15:42, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

The reason your article was deleted that it did not demonstrate the notability of the subject, you have to show this through the inclusion of third party reliable sources. In addition, the content read like an advert, to stay on wikipedia, content has to adhere to our no point of view guidelines--Jac16888 (talk) 15:44, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Jac16888 - I would like to make a query regarding the speedy deletion of the FaithLink page I am still in the process of editing. I understand the usual precedent for deletion of groups, especially those which have little greater relevance of importance. FaithLink, however is not merely just a club, rather as I stated a network - FaithLink has bases in London, England, Birmingham, England and Frankfurt, Germany. FaithLink also has partnerships with the organisation Service for Peace in Israel/Palestine. FaithLink additionally runs international programmes and conferences throughout the UK, Europe and the Middle East. FaithLink does have a notable international membership of over 500 and has worked with other significant organisations including OneVoice, the Three Faiths Forum, UJS (The Union of Jewish Students). FaithLink has also had the involvement of the following figures - David Horovitz (Editor, Jerusalem Post), Member of Knesset - Israeli parliament Michael Melchior and the son of the civil rights leader - Martin Luther King III. FaithLink furthermore should not be a candidate for speedy deletion as it has been refered to in external sources which will be incorporated into the article should it be reinstated. These external sources should be noted are not merely from blogs or FaithLink's own website but from a Jerusalem Post article - the Jerusalem Post is the leading English language daily in Israel - this surely must therefore qualify as a reliable third party source. The speedy deletion was also conducted before third party sources could be effectively incorporated. To verify the third party source please kindly visit http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1188197179622&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FPrinter

Thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goldenstrength (talkcontribs) 02:49, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

At the point I deleted your article, it suggested none of the notability suggested above, I will admit I didn't notice it had only existed a few minutes, which was unfair. I am not opposed to you recreating the article, however I would suggest that you create in your userspace, i.e. User:Goldenstrength/FaithLink, add all the necessary sources and content, then move it to the mainspace. As as suggestion about the article, the list of committee is unnecessary, i would remove that. --Jac16888 (talk) 03:15, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

I wish you hadn't deleted that thing on the Spore world I made, I forgot to put it under "underconstruction", because that a huge project.

It was deleted because it did not demonstrate any notability, there are millions of big forum created fanfiction universes, to have articles they need to have been covered in 3rd party reliable sources. For example, if the makers of spore have said in an interview that they see it as the true story of the game, it could be notable, or if a news site has noted its length/depth/etc--Jac16888 (talk) 01:24, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

74.86.13.50

Hi, if you see a hardblocked proxy like 74.86.13.50, there's no need to softblock. If a proxy is hardblocked (either directly or through a rangeblock), that vandal often vandalises the talk page in hopes that an admin will apply a softblock to allow him to edit from that IP. Spellcast (talk) 02:10, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Rich Rodi

I am curious as to why the page I made for Rich was deleted. It was a biography page about how he was the first Saint Vincent Football player in 45 years to be honored as one of the five members of the first graduating football class. He also had a quick stint in the AFL. If it was because the references were clear enough I can better state them and such. What would I need to do for this to be added as an college/pro athlete biography? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sportstar1029 (talkcontribs) 15:22, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

For a athlete to be notable and meet out inclusion, they have to have competed in a fully professional league or equivalent, this does not include college level, even if they are notable within that college. The article said nothing about the AFL. In addition, a few quick google searches, come up with nothing, [4], [5], [6], and the "references" you gave, two are college websites and none of them actually mention Rodi as far i can see--Jac16888 (talk) 19:50, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

What can I do have my page published? I have clearer references. And when I typed in in a search Rich came up.

PA State Police Commissioner

Please explain deletion of Colonel Frank Pawlowski article. The old colonel had a wiki article without incident, seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_B._Miller I'm at a loss why this one would not be of equal importance or value. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 17:38, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Matter of fact, the commissioner even before Miller is on here as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_J._Evanko . Makes me even more confused. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 17:47, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

He's part of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth government, leader of a major state police force and replaced the gentleman who just got a position made FOR him with the NFL.

I'm fairly certain I've just done this. Please undo deletion. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 18:02, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

You really need to demonstrate more notability than just being a police commissioner, the Miller article shows notability because while commissioner he handled a notable case, and as you say, he had a position in the NFL created specially for him. Also, you should be aware that the existence of an article on Wikipedia is not a justification for other articles to exist, WP:OTHERSTUFF, the Evanko article doesn't really suggest notability either, and could be deletable. Finally, in the article it says he was made "acting colonel", so is he even the real deal yet?--Jac16888 (talk) 20:09, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, he actually was recently promoted to a full bird Colonel not too long ago. And if my memory serves me correctly, the Miller article was there before that "notable" Nickel Mines incident. Is there a wiki definition of "notability" floating around. I find that term rather ambiguous and left to interpretation. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 12:01, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
There is WP:Notability, which has a number of sub-articles for various things, however, you are right, the whole concept of notability is open to interpretation, this is done on purpose, that way we don't have hard unbreakable rules regarding what can and cannot stay, and I can see how your article subject could be notable, if the article had been clearer on the subject. Here's what I'm going to do, I have restored your article, here User:Mrmcdonnell/Frank Pawlowski, expand it a bit, add some refs, then move it to the mainspace when you've got it to a decent state.--Jac16888 (talk) 14:20, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Hey, thanks! I think that's a very reasonable solution for the both of us. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 21:16, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

He's probably going to ask you why your company should be in an Encyclopedia. I'm sort of asking the same question. Mrmcdonnell (talk) 14:16, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
I deleted it because it was a copy and paste of your website, as a copyright violation, however since you say its your website, i guess that doesn't matter. However, I'm not going to restore your article, because it was pure spam, nothing more. We are an encyclopedia, not a place for you to advertise your company, you should not be writing about it at all, since you cannot ever be totally neutral, if the company is notable, which it does have a vague assertation of being, then someone else will write about it.--Jac16888 (talk) 14:20, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Warning vandals

You speedily deleted an article Shaunna meyers which was vandalism/nonsense/personal attack (pick one or more). The vandal later created a similar article about someone else, which I deleted, and regarding which I placed an "Only warning" on the vandal's talk page. When you delete, please warn, because it makes it more justifiable to block the vandal when they do their next trick. Thanks for your efforts, and keep up the good work. Edison (talk) 17:19, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I should do this but it never occurs to me, I usually just focus on the articles rather than who created them, I'll try to remember warnings in future--Jac16888 (talk) 17:24, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, okay.

What's your issue? WHY DID YOU DELETE MY 'The pop princesses' PAGE? There was nothing wrong with it.

2bjewled (talk) 23:09, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

There was a lot wrong with it. Unfortunately, you and your friends are not a notable band, you have yet to release a song which has been in a notable chart, you have zero Google hits, you have a website which is empty, and you admitted yourself that you want an article to promote yourself, which, surprisingly, we don't allow. Go make a Myspace or Facebook page instead--Jac16888 (talk) 23:17, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I notice that you have restored my todo page twice. I am sorry if I have been a nuisance, creating an extra page for such a minor article, but I just included the todo template and followed the instructions it gave for making the box, to the best of my ability. Is this good practice, or should I avoid doing it in the future if it causes problems? —Kan8eDie (talk) 04:27, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

All i know it what it says in the instructions, but, it makes sense, so my advice, is to just keep doing what you're doing, I see nothing wrong with it--Jac16888 (talk) 04:31, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Why did you delete my page?--Whit2011 (talk) 03:29, 28 November 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whit2011 (talkcontribs) 03:24, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Oh I'd have to say because it nothing to do with how to add an article for starters, and then of course the fact that it was advice on how to get into heaven, not exactly encyclopedic content. My advice to you, go to a religious forum instead--Jac16888 (talk) 03:31, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Gage Brewer

I noticed that you speedied the Gage Brewer article for blatant copyright infringement earlier. Just to let you know, it was recreated, and since I didn't see the original version, I'm not sure if the copyright issues have been addressed. Templarion (talk) 05:56, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

It is still a copy and paste of the first one, with a few wikilinks added, I've retagged it as copyvio, thanks for the heads up--Jac16888 (talk) 15:03, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Fiddle, sorry about that. --Nate1481 14:48, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey, don't worry about it, it happens, once i found an article like that, afd'd it (didn't know about speedy), where somehow they didn't check the history and an admin speedy'd it, luckily another admin spotted the error--Jac16888 (talk) 15:03, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Subpage deletion

Thanks for that. What tool did you use to find it? — Hex (❝?!❞) 03:55, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

No, problem, it was listed on the broken redirects page of the extremely useful Wikipedia:Database reports--Jac16888 (talk) 04:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh my, how good is that? Into the bookmarks it goes. Cheers, — Hex (❝?!❞) 05:20, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

The Smeads

Why did you delete the page regarding the Smeads? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smeadlocks (talkcontribs) 15:23, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

I'd say its probably because it was a page full of nonsense probably made up by you and your friends--Jac16888 (talk) 18:23, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

But what about pages such as Greys and Nordic Aliens? How come those are not deleted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smeadlocks (talkcontribs) 19:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps because there have been hundreds of supposed sightings of those "aliens" and there have been many books/papers/lectures about them--Jac16888 (talk) 19:52, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Nope —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smeadlocks (talkcontribs) 21:22, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

They're real. We found the drawing in India and we also have two books about them. We have one living in our basement. His name is Smeader. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smeadlocks (talkcontribs) 22:09, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Sqon

I noticed you deleted the page I was working on, I would like to create a page for Sqon Production but I'm not sure how to "properly" do so. Can you let me or help me create this page? Thanks. VodeAn-SQON (talk) 19:01, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Firstly, its quite obvious from your username that you are connected to this company somehow, which means that you have a conflict of interest and shouldn't be writing about it anyway. Secondly, there was nothing in the article to suggest that the company is notable in anyway, by which I mean it should have 3rd party reliable references. --Jac16888 (talk) 19:06, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

I understand. I work for the company so yes i have a conflict of interest, but if i was to gather 3rd party references and write objectively could I still create the article or have someone else create the article? I think my company has enough impact and significance to have Wikipedia page, however i could be mistaken. VodeAn-SQON (talk) 19:12, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

If you think you can find enough references to show notability, i would suggest you recreate the article here, User:VodeAn-SQON/Sqon, and work on it before moving it to the mainspace--Jac16888 (talk) 19:24, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

OK, I'll do that then, thank you. VodeAn-SQON (talk) 19:29, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

What's non-controversial about deleting this? There was just an MfD about it which resolved to consensus keep. While unlikely to come to much, it is harmless, and might become something useful; please restore. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 19:47, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

The article you're referring to was moved to a subpage, User:Ball valve/Sungo which was soon after deleted by someone else, leaving a broken redirect - hence, non-controversial maintenance--Jac16888 (talk) 19:52, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

You might want to go back to this debate and read Fullstop's response to your comment. To be short: he was right about the copyright violation. A lack of copyright statement does not mean the blog was not copyrighted. - Mgm|(talk) 22:44, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Wow, oops, major mistake on my part there, sorry--Jac16888 (talk) 22:47, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Please help me understand why the basic facts of this company Tested best Products)would be deleted? Thanks for your help.

The facts of the incorporation, trademark and ownership of the company Tested Best Products, Inc.

Hi Jac, Do I just reload the facts or do I need to modify something? Thansk for your help.

Quick heads up: 134.240.241.2

I changed the block settings on 134.240.241.2 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) to re-enable anon-only, since it's a shared IP. I'm assuming you accidentally disabled it when adding the nocreate flag, as it appeared to have caught Sergeantgiggles (talk · contribs). If it's necessary to remove the anon-only flag, however, feel free to do so; but, ideally, be sure to add an ipblock exemption to the other user. Cheers =) --slakrtalk / 07:30, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Thats fine, sorry for the inconvenience, I was having one of those days--Jac16888 (talk) 11:52, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

You recently deleted Royal P; this page was in fact created by moving a user page into article space. As deleting user pages is normally done only in exceptional circumstances could you restore it and move it back?

You're right, I have moved it back to the user's talk page, thanks--Jac16888 (talk) 11:52, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Ilkari Maru

I see you appear to have deleted the article on Ilkari Maru as an A7 speedy deletion. I would like to dispute this deletion as Ilkari Maru released two records on CAAMA Music. CAAMA has a history of over 20 years and has released recordings by Frank Yamma, Warren H Williams, Sammy Butcher, Warumpi Band, Lajamanu Teenage Band, Letterstick Band, Coloured Stone, Bart Willoughby, Bob Randall, Herbie Laughton, Trevor Adamson, Wirrinyga Band, Blek Bala Mujik, Isaac Yamma, Auriel Andrew, Ntaria Ladies Choir. I believe that makes the band notable by satisfying criteria 5 of WP:MUSIC. Thanks. Duffbeerforme (talk) 11:21, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Lairig Club deletion.

Hi,

I was just wondering as to your reasoning behind deleting the page 'Aberdeen University Lairig Club'? Do you have something against mountaineering?

The Lairig Club at Aberdeen has been going for a great many years now and there are numerous references to it even in other Wikipedia articles. It is one of the oldest and probably the most accomplished university mountaineering clubs in the United Kingdom and has been the training ground for many famous British climbers, most notably Tom Patey and Andy Nisbet, about whom articles also exist on Wikipedia, and who are also world-famous amongst the climbing community for developing some of the hardest and most difficult climbing routes in Europe. Furthermore the deleting of the article renders many links in Wikipedia obsolete and doesn't make sense. Why, may I ask, is there allowed to exist an article on the 'Aberdeen University Men's Hockey Club'; another club affiliated to the Aberdeen University Sports' Union (AUSU) when there cannot be one for one of the most historic and prolific Mountaineering Clubs in Scotland?—Preceding unsigned comment added by U08ca4 (talkcontribs) 14:29, Dec 1, 2008 (UTC)

Next Horizon

Hi there,

I believe you deleted the page 'Next Horizon' and I was wondering why? It says it was deleted because it was "blatant advertising" however, I don't believe it was. I am new to Wikipedia and would like to know how to post information about similar items to Next Horizon that are not a "conflict of interest" or "blatant advertising". Could you let me know how to do this please? Thank you.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomas F Reilly III (talkcontribs) 09:2/, Dec 3, 2008 (UTC)

For starters, you should not be writing articles about subjects with which you are personally involved, you cannot ever be truly neutral, if the subject is notable then let someone else write about it. Secondly, I deleted your article because it was written very much like the companies press statement, and in addition, it did not assert how the company is notable, which it needs to do through 3rd party reliable sources--Jac16888 (talk) 18:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

the question online

Hello I was creating a page call "the question online" for a gaming cummity I am part of. If possible can you bring the page back? me and other from the cummunity are serious about it and we will follow any requierments that are set. and if possible will you tell me what made you delete it? and what i have to do to keep it?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Velice01 (talkcontribs) 16:01, Dec 3, 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, your article did not assert the notability of the subject, there are hundreds of thousands of gaming forums in existence, to warrant an article, they have to have coverage in 3rd party reliable sources, and actually be of some importance--Jac16888 (talk) 18:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

How did you get this privilege of running Wikipedia?

Is it a like a job or career? If so, what's it like? What are your responsibilities?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Triednewly (talkcontribs) 18:39, Dec 3, 2008 (UTC)

I don't run Wikipedia, I'm just an administrator, a Janitor in many ways, I was chosen to be one because I have been here long enough to show I can be responsible, and can trusted with a few more abilities than most. Its not a job, not really, I'm just a volunteer like everyone else, although it can take up a lot of a persons time if they let it, although I do enjoy it, I like being able to help take care of such a big thing. I don't have any responsibilities, I'm free to not do anything if I don't want to, however I do have the ability to do things such as delete articles which are inappropriate, as judged by the community, not me, block users who are vandalising and various other smaller things --Jac16888 (talk) 19:00, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Maitland, Nova Scotia

Just a quick note on Maitland, Nova Scotia. I was in the process of researching this to fix the flawed first attempt by User:Pumkinjuice when you deleted it, so I've recreated it as a disamb page to the two Maitlands in NS and written a stub for the one Pumkinjuice appeared to be writing about. Let me know if there's any problems with this I'm not seeing. Thanks!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:01, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Go for it mate, I can give you the content of the article if you want, although I doubt it would be much use to you--Jac16888 (talk) 22:04, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Andrew Eichen

Well the reason I posted it wasn't to malign him I was being facetious. And it's not libel because its true, I also only posted it because he thinks "fishes" is not an acceptable for the plural of fish. He would have laughed at this. btw there is not much clear info on the fish vs. fishes thing -Jude (irishllama8855) Irishllama8855 (talk) 04:35, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

talk page deletion

My application got rejected. Why? according to Right to Vanish my page can be deleted, please, I really need to erase my talk page because I want to leave Wikipedia for good. Ashiwin (talk) 05:37, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I didn't reject anything, you are free to leave wikipedia and not come back, however, we [refer not to delete talk pages unless it is absolutely necessary. Instead of trying to get it deleted, why not just replace the page with {{retired}}?--Jac16888 (talk) 05:50, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

2010 deletion

Hi you recently deleted the 2010 in China article. Is probably not wise to delete something that will get recreated again eventually. BTW the expo is a massive event, so I don't know why you think it is not notable. I am recreating the page please leave it alone. Benjwong (talk) 05:38, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Eventually is a big word, 2010 is a long way away and things change on Wikipedia. Anyway, I'm not saying the expo isn't notable, I'm saying that having a whole article with all empty sections is preposterous and pointless, except for saying the date of one event. Note that it has already been retagged for deletion by the way.--Jac16888 (talk) 05:50, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I am with 100% certainty someone will create that article again. And when they do, it will be just as empty to start off. Benjwong (talk) 05:56, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

I have proposed a merge to the new article gummies. Would you consider supporting this option at the AfD?ChildofMidnight (talk) 09:13, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

My same-sex schools article was deleted

and I am mad. Please put it bak and i will fix it plz. Madirox2222 (talk) 22:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but I'm not going to put it back. Your article was deleted because it was an essay, detailing your personal opinions, which is the exact opposite of what we are going for here on Wikipedia, we want articles that are neutral and referenced, not ones that violate WP:OR and WP:NPOV--Jac16888 (talk) 22:16, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

okay sorry but can u tel me how i cood format the same sub.? Madirox2222 (talk) 22:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

There is no way to fix the content you had, it was totally unusable. However, you could do a lot of research, to try and find reliable sources which support your viewpoint, then add what they say, referenced and without your opinions, to Single-sex education--Jac16888 (talk) 22:27, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

My article is gone and there is no speedy deletions notice or a record in my contributions Please help fvw told me I was vandalizing but I wasn't please tell me what happened!!!! Madirox2222 (talk) 02:37, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

What this, [7]? Looks like warnable nonsense to me--Jac16888 (talk) 02:42, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

What does that mean?? Madirox2222 (talk) 02:44, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

You create nonsense = you get warned for it. In addition, the comments you are making here are not exactly helpful, User talk:Fvw--Jac16888 (talk) 02:47, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
