Eschefeld
[edit]Hello, I saw that you uploaded EschefeldKirche.jpg to the commons. I was wondering if you live near there and can tell me anything about it. I do not speak German and so I am having a hard time learning about the area of Eschefeld. My 5th great-grandfather was born in Eschefeld in 1712 and I was wondering if you know anything about genealogy research in Germany... or if not, if you could just tell me about the Evangelical church in the Eschefeld area. Thank You. Kevin Rector (talk) 20:58, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
- Hello Kevin, I'm actually living not too far from Eschefeld and I have taken the photo during one of my walking tours in that region. On the spot, I don't have found many informations an I'm no expert in genealogy, but your message has me prompted to search some informations. The church of Eschefeld is originally from the 13th century, with a Romanesque nave and a Late Gothic choir and font. The village of Eschefeld has been belonging to the town of Frohburg since 1999 an the church of Eschefeld belongs also to the Frohburg parish. Interesting for the genealogical research is the fact that the parish registers of Eschefeld go back to 1667. The site where I have found that information gives the following address for the contact with the Frohburg parish: frohburg@evpfarr.de . I hope that this first informations are useful to you, if you need other informations, just ask me ! JWaller (talk) 21:57, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you so very much for that information. It was helpful to me, but I forgot to come back and say thanks! So Danke! 21:11, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
