Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, JTMcDonald, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page NaturallySpeaking have not conformed to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV), and have been reverted. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me my talk page. Again, welcome! Collectonian (talk) 03:02, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your reverting of the clean up NaturallySpeaking. The cleaning out of that information was in keeping with Wikipedia guidelines and policies. We do are not a manual for NaturallySpeaking, nor an advertisement. We do not focus on its features, versions, etc. We provide an overview, its sourced history, reception, etc. Please take some time to learn Wikipedia editing guidelines, per the message I left you earlier, before you continue your reverting. [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to NaturallySpeaking, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. You've been asked twice nicely, now cut it out. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on NaturallySpeaking. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Please STOP IT! You continue reverting without discussion and without responding to the numerous requests that you stop. The article has not "been damaged", excessive unsourced inappropriate material was removed. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Collectonian (talk) 03:56, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
In your edit summaries, please be accurate. In this summary, [1] you say you are including edits from another editor in your change, when in reality that is not the case and you are merely reverting to your own version without consensus or discussion.
Please discuss your changes on the talk page before making them, and try and gain consensus for changes. For another warning (as above), you are way over the three revert rule limit. Please do not edit war. Redrocket (talk) 06:43, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
