Question about image used on Independent music page

[edit]

Hey there,

I noticed that on January 8 of this year, you added a picture of the Arctic Monkeys to the page Independent music. Can I ask what process you used in selecting this band to feature on the page? If you're just a fan of the group that's cool, but I do wonder if there is any reason they ought to be featured on the page instead of, say, The Wedding Present, whose career has straddled indie music from its mid-80s beginnings through to the 90s, the 00s post-punk revival, and into the present day. Personally, given their involvement in indie music through its entire evolutionary process, I think they would be the best group to have featured on the page (and I'm not just saying that because I'm a massive Weddoes fan)!

Cheers, Janglyguitars (talk) 16:09, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, I just thought a photo on the article would look neat, and the Arctic Monkeys are a pretty well-known indie band. I think there's absolutely a great case for like, any number of indie bands, and so if you'd like to change the photo for a band you'd think is more representative of the label "indie music", since it is the first thing you'll see on the page, change away!'
JDBauby (talk) 16:23, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, thanks. I'll change it to the Weddoes then! Janglyguitars (talk) 21:50, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cruisin' Records moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Cruisin' Records. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and those sources need to be reliable and independent. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:37, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
