How to edit

Please see the welcome section above, ask at the wp:teahouse. You were playing with a wp:template, specifically with a template:cite web. Which is part of a reference. A template begins with {{ and ends with }} (the nowiki stuff is not part of a template). See help:referencing for beginners and help:footnotes.
