My Article: Old NHE location in Katima Mulilo Town in the Caprivi Region
[edit]Cite error: There are <ref>

NHE stands for: N- National H- Housing E- Enterprise So its National Housing Enterprise. Old NHE location is a very quite location compared to all the locations found in Katima Mulilo. It’s a recommended place/ location for those people who do not like noisy places. It is known as Old NHE location because it was the first location to be established by the NHE company before the other two (2) NHE locations were established. The soil type there is the white sandy type, which makes you look like someone who is putting on white socks when you walk bare footed. Old people say that the Old NHE location is located on a place where people used to hide long back ago when the was still a war in Nambia and this is true because when we were still kids we used to play a lot under a big mopane tree in our yard and we used to pick bullets there and pecies of broken guns. Its name location was given to it becauce the builders of the houses in this location came from the NHE company in other words it was named after the NHE company and the common tree there is also known as the NHE tree, because it is mostly found there and it’s the dominating tree in this location. Old people continued on telling us that lions and elephants used to pass-by the location before is was established. It used to be a forest with lots of wild animals. But up to now know ones knows for sure what realy happened to the wildlife in this location after is was established wether they died or miggrated to other places. During special events like the NEW YEARS families come together to celebrate as one happy family. But also none family members do join in if the fill like joining. This time of the year is the only time you will hear noise in Old NHE location because every is celebrating with loud music and shouting. People living in this location are very good decoracters because if you walk around this location you wont find any house which is dirty or not decorated unless the is no one living in that particular place. When one plans on making a party, they will be no invitation cards because even when you organise invitation cards you will be wasting your own money because everyone who will feel like joining will come to the aprty, even people passing by will end up at the party. In other words this simply means that people in this location act as one big happy family, which is one thing you will never find in other location. During the rainy seasons its not very nice to walk around the streets becaues the streets are all mad and slipary, so the only way is to stay indoors, but as for those with cars they can drive around without facing any problems. Its really a nice place location to live in.
