quick citation tip
[edit]Noticed your added citations in irregardless - thanks for adding them. I've updated them to work like the ones I did yesterday. In case you're wondering how that works, here's the gist: In the text where you want a footnote reference to appear, instead of using parentheses and a name use double curly braces and Template:ref, such as {{ref|footnotename}}.
Then, at the bottom, use Template:note to add the citation as {{note|footnotename}}
. Note that "footnotename
" must be the same in both cases, as that is what makes the links work (so when you click on the number, you jump to the note, then click on the up-arrow to jump back to the text). You can also make them numbered links at the bottom by sorting the in the order used instead of alphabetically; see Wells Fargo for an extensive example of that. You can also read Wikipedia:Footnotes for more detail than even I knew until this moment. Pardon me whilst I go apply what I just learned. ;-) --Kgf0 19:53, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
