Hi - the changes that I have made to the the Wiki entry for Adele Raemer were done because I AM Adele Raemer and I corrected some inaccuracies and added addition information. How can those changes which I have made about MYSELF, be accepted? Thank you Zioness on the Border (talk) 10:31, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there, with regard to biographies for living persons, which applies to the article in your name, all information must be sourced. We cannot just take your word for it, though we may accept information from interviews, such as the one done with the Hungarian Conservative. This is to protect you. Otherwise, anyone can just go on Wikipedia and start writing anything they want about you, including false or libellous information. If you wish to include information about your life, such as your family, you should include a source. Typically, for a case such as yours, it would be a news article or interview.
That being said, if you are Adele Raemer, you should not edit your own article. Typically, editors can detect on a face-value reading whether an edit made has clues pointing to conflict of interest editing. This may lead to a block. I would suggest using the talk page of the article Talk:Adele Raemer where you can make a COI edit request and editors will fulfill them for you. Please note that edit requests must be detailed - in other words, they must list exactly what you want to add, and they must also be sourced - see above. Thanks RetroCosmos (talk) 10:48, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I AM Adele Raemer. How do I resource changes that I, myself, make about me? There are things here that are incorrect. I am clearly still living, so how can I go about making my page more accurate? Zioness on the Border (talk) 13:57, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
please detail the changes you wish to be made at Talk:Adele Raemer and specify which parts are incorrect. if for example you are not of russian origin, that could be struck, but without a source we can't put down that you're of austrian-hungarian origin since you didn't provide a source for that and wikipedia is not a source of original information. in other words, all entries must include a link to another place that says the same thing RetroCosmos (talk) 16:22, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your reversion of The Liberal Catholic Church on 2 January, to its highly shortened form is extreme, undoing all the work I did to correct it.
I made the article MORE neutral and INFORMATIVE, not less neutral, and I included MORE sources.
Here are the issues with your version:
1) The article is FAR too short and ambiguous and makes it sound like there are lots of churches using the title "Liberal Catholic Church". There is ONE defined international organisation that uses the name "Liberal Catholic Church". There is another called "The Liberal Catholic Church INTERNATIONAL" and there are some offshoots. But only ONE organisation uses the term "The Liberal Catholic Church".
2) The section Young Rite is FAR too long and makes it sound like a major sect. It's not. In fact that offshoot is moribund and doesn't hold mass anywhere.
3) The details about Wedgwood's resignation due to "sexual misconduct with juveniles" belongs on the page about WEDGWOOD, not the church itself, especially given that the article is so short. Compared this to the page on the Catholic Church which only includes sexual misconduct in a small section of the page despite it being a mult-billion dollar scandal over decades. In fact, coupled with needlessly extensive discussion about the Young Rite, it actually looks like someone from the Young Rite went on the original article from years ago, defaced it and shorteneed it to make the Liberal Catholic Church look disorganised, undefined, and that the Young Rite is somehow the successor of the organisation, which it is NOT. In fact it is incredibly hard to find people practising the Young Rite.
4) If you have a problem with my previous edit, take the time to fix it, rather deleting the article wholesale and replacing it with this extremely short and vague article which looks like it was written with the intent of dismissing the ACTUAL EXTANT ORGANIZATION Called the "Liberal Catholic Church" in favour of The Young Rite. The information I uploaded is factually correct, and cites the correct sources. If you have a problem with sources, please cite "dubious source" first, rather than removing all the work I put in. That you know a great deal about the church while simultaneously insisting on the use of deprecated and primary sources leads me to ask: are you related to the church in any way? RetroCosmos (talk) 13:28, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
