Anti defection law

[edit]

Hi @Italawar: I have reverted your article above, back to the redirect. Do not add back in. More than 50% of it is copyright violation and the rest is badly sourced. It can't remain in mainspace as it stands. It also duplicates to a certain extent, content already found on Wikipedia. If you want to try and create an article, for example to extend what is found on Wikipedia regarding Anti defection laws, then please create it in the draft system at WP:AFC where it can be reviewed. Thanks. scope_creepTalk 19:12, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Italawar

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Winged Blades of Godric and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, AHINDA, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Winged Blades of Godric}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Your writing skills are way too low, as of now and I have to literally revert all of your contributions en masse; you are better-suited to contribute to some sister-Wikipedia in your mother-tongue. WBGconverse —Preceding undated comment added 06:22, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Italawar. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Urban Naxals: The Making of Buddha in a Traffic Jam, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The reason given is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 05:49, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In an edit summary on Urban Naxals: The Making of Buddha in a Traffic Jam you asked, "Is there any way to delete that article?" Are you talking about how to delete Urban Naxals: The Making of Buddha in a Traffic Jam? If so, you will need to explain better why it should be deleted. Unless you have a very compelling reason the answer is probably no, there is no way that it is going to be deleted. Please reply here. ~ GB fan 10:23, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You are getting very disruptive with this. I have now protected the page so you can not edit it. You need to start talking. rather than just asking for it to be deleted. ~ GB fan 11:13, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Vinod Chaubey shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Harshil want to talk? 12:48, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You too, for the same Vinod Chaubey article and other reasons, please do not edit war or post on my talk page. That section and those words were there before my first edit to this article. Those are contributions from other editors and okay because they cover the different sides, meet the NPOV and other core wikipedia community agreed content guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Me Too Urban Naxal

[edit]

Hello Italawar,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Me Too Urban Naxal for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Vidhana Sabha Constituencies of Karnataka

[edit]

I saw your message in Page Kudachi (Vidhana Sabha constituency) asking "what about other constituencies?". Well I would want to reiterate that every Vidhana Sabha Page from Karnataka should be moved in this manner. According to serial number, I have move first four among them. i.e., Nippani, Chikkodi-Sadalga, Kagwad, Kudachi and also Shivajinagar. In subsequent contributions, will do the same as well for other Constituencies of Karnataka. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vijethnbharadwaj (talkcontribs) 06:49, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vijethnbharadwaj: Please add new discussions at the bottom of the page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Italawar (talk) 10:18, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Content you added to the above article appears to have been copied from online sources. Copying text directly from a source is a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Discretionary sanctions alert for India, Pakistan and Afghanistan

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Note that North East Delhi riots is one of the many articles covered by these sanctions. Doug Weller talk 16:09, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2020

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on North East Delhi riots; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
The page is on one-revert rule (1RR). Please read the edit notice carefully. Kautilya3 (talk) 09:03, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"CAA protests in National Capital Territory of Delhi" listed at Redirects for discussion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the redirect CAA protests in National Capital Territory of Delhi should be deleted, kept, or retargeted. It will be discussed at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 March 24#CAA protests in National Capital Territory of Delhi until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Godi Media requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://clarionindia.net/why-indias-godi-media-spreads-hatred-and-fake-news/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. bonadea contributions talk 13:28, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article Godi Media is inappropriate for several reasons – it was in part an attack page (Wikipedia can absolutely not point the finger at individuals and make derogatory comments about them) and there is almost no context to explain to the reader what it is even about. There is a draft page at Draft:Godi Media which you can work on, but do not move it into article space yourself. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 13:51, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

@Bishonen, Bonadea, RegentsPark, Vanamonde, 331dot and JBW: and others, I may not agree with what you did, but I will respect your right to do it. Give me a chance to learn more about Wikipedia edit in accordance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Italawar (talk) 06:24, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You don't need to be unblocked to learn more about Wikipedia, as anyone can read Wikipedia and its policy pages. When you have constructive edits you wish to make, and can do so with the proper neutral point of view and a lack of original research, you can request unblock at that time. As this request does not do that, I am declining it. 331dot (talk) 08:55, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Block evasion

I see you have evaded your block by posting as an IP.[1] Of course that is not allowed, or blocks would be pointless. You, the person — the individual — are blocked, not merely this account. Don't evade the block again. Bishonen | tålk 14:52, 22 July 2020 (UTC).[reply]

Notice

The article AHINDA has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. No significant coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Italawar, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username North8000, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Parasgad (Vidhana Sabha constituency), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Parasgad (Vidhana Sabha constituency).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
