Potential sockpuppet of Levineps
Recently, User:Oriole85 (contribs) has been sporadically popping up on my watchlist for category-related changes. A lot of new users do that, so it wasn't a particularly noteworthy thing for me. But then he kept showing up with a higher frequency, oftentimes making (what I thought to be) completely unnecessary over-categorizations to articles. I've been on Wikipedia long enough to know that User:Levineps (contribs) is one of the most notorious over-categorizers we've ever seen (and has the community sanctions, block records, and bans to show for it). So, I did about two minutes' worth of research and discovered that Oriole85's account was created / his edits began on November 5, 2013. When was the last edit by Levineps? November 4, 2013. That is not a coincidence IMO. I don't have (a) the time right now, nor (b) the motivation to formally open an SPI, but I'm hoping that one of the many people I'm notifying about this does. If you're wondering why you're being pinged about this, it's because I saw where you were one of the people who has left messages on Levineps' talk page at some point regarding his inappropriate editing. So now, in addition to all of the aforementioned issues with Levineps, it looks like a probably sockpuppet to throw into the mix. Jrcla2 (talk) 05:27, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Alright, you've said what you wanted and I don't see anything productive coming from continuing. Ishdarian 07:52, 7 December 2013 (UTC) |

Seriously? Really? Have we lost essence for the sake of "rules"? The changes I made (commas mainly) has nothing to do with the block situation. If you are really so keen on me not making any changes, just make them yourself, but do make them, because they are important. Neo ^ (talk) 07:11, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

Please restore FIBEP article
Media monitoring is a unique niche industry and it is difficult to find good overview material on this subject. FIBEP is one of a very few key organizations bringing together companies in this field (which is positioned in a confluence of several key industries: journalism, public relations, media, etc.) - the only one I'm aware of in this specific field. As such I believe it deserves an encyclopedia entry.

Upper
Hi Ishdarian,
This is in reference to Tokyogirl. This young lady made a page I was planning to make accurately and filled it with inaccurate information, and it is obvious she is trying to slander anthers creative work. Sorry if anything I said came off as hostile, but being a long time supporter of this project it is sad to see someone trying to make it look bad, stating untrue things, when they have no knowledge of it and have never seen it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BigGameFish (talk • contribs) 07:46, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry BigGameFish, but I can see nothing but good faith edits coming from Tokyogirl. The synopsis is accurate, from what I've seen in the sourcing. Also, the summary you have tried to add is a copyright violation, something we take very seriously. I don't see her trying to attack anyone's work; she's simply repeating what was found in the sources. I highly suggest you read WP:AGF and WP:NPA before continuing, because your additude at present is problematic and continuing down that path may get you blocked. Ishdarian 07:52, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- I've reported him to 3RR for his edit warring. Also, sorry about reverting your edit Ishdarian, I've fixed that. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:21, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
- No worries. These things happen :) Ishdarian 08:22, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
Promo edits at William Packer
Good Afternoon Staff Sergeant Ishdarian! :-)
I'm a bit involved here with William Packers page. I added a comment below yours on Collins Jackson (talk · contribs) talk page. I also added a sub heading "Possible promotional editing" just above your comments, mainly to make them easy to find under the main Dec. 2013 section heading. Feel free to remove it if you object as it is, sort of, altering your post.
It appears that the editor does have a strong COI, see here. Regards, 220 of Borg 05:37, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up, 220. I checked and I have no objections as it does provide some clarity. I checked the link you provided and I agree that the COI is strong with this one. Ishdarian 05:53, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
- Happy-To-Help-Staff-Sergeant!
- Paraphrasing Morbius in Forbidden Planet, 'That’s all right, Staff Sergeant. A commanding officer doesn’t need brains, (or correct spelling) just a good, loud voice.' :-) source. 220 of Borg 06:45, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
- Ouch. :) Ishdarian 07:53, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Thanks
Thanks for the edit summary that clears things up. I hope that you know that I wasn't vandalizing. I got caught by the trap of the rotating socks. Apologies that I didn't catch it sooner. Thanks for your vigilance. MarnetteD | Talk 05:46, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, Marnette. I should have made that clearer the first time. By no means was I meaning to accuse you of vandalism. I saw what was going on and tried fixing it. Evlekis did a swell job at getting everyone all fuckered up. Ishdarian 05:49, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- You got that right. Thanks for the reply. Holly Jolly wishes to you and yours. Cheers. MarnetteD | Talk 05:55, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
Stormfool returns
I think you have things backward. This editor appears to be a vandal, probably the same editor as "Try and stop me arsewipes!". You've been reverting MarnetteD's proper deletions of Stormfool's vandalism. Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:50, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- BMK: No. Both of those socks are Master of Spoof. He's the one who inserted the false info and used another sock to revert the addition in an attempt to get certain people to go back to his misinformation. Ishdarian 05:53, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- BMK. I think that this might help User talk:C.Fred#Another sock. Someone is spinning us around and I hope that means extra lumps of coal in their SOCK MarnetteD | Talk 05:55, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed. I got fooled. --Malerooster (talk) 05:57, 25 December 2013 (UTC)

- Isdharian's got it. Master of Spoof was the original vandal. Try and stop… was likely the same person laying a trap to make us revert back in the bad data. Further, the additions are bad data, bringing in material from articles with the same title. For a prime example, look at Mike Smith (American football coach), born in 1959—but the text that Master of Spoof added is about a different Mike Smith, who was 18 in 1962. —C.Fred (talk) 06:00, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
- Well, that was an enjoyable experience. Merry Chirstmas, everyone! Ishdarian 06:05, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
