This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Isapedia, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Have requested a username change 3 days ago without the help or response of Daniel Case

Decline reason:

Though the official reason for your block is just the choice of username, I am alarmed to see what you wrote at User talk:Isapedia/International studies abroad, which suggests you plan to use Wikipedia for advertising or promotion. You also included on that page some material (now deleted) which was flagged as a copyright violation. If you want this block lifted, I propose that you add to your talk page (below) references to some reliable sources such as articles in magazines or newspapers that are enough to show the notability of the organization you wish to write about. Check WP:COI for some cautions on writing about your own business project on Wikipedia. Literal copying of an external website is unlikely to produce a standard Wikipedia article, and if you express willingness to follow our typical article format it would be helpful to your unblock request. EdJohnston (talk) 17:55, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[edit]

A username change request here won't get your name changed; you'll need to be unblocked first so you can file the request where a bureaucrat will notice it. Before we do that, however, are you aware of our conflict of interest guideline, which asks that editors not work on articles about their companies or websites? Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:13, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Given that you have relatively few edits, it would probably be easier for you just to create a new account with a better username, bearing in mind Hersfold's comment above. Newyorkbrad (talk) 00:18, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
