Hello. Thanks for grammar and link edits. Would like to ask why maiden name and other edits were restored, though. Ironladle (talk) 23:21, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
They belong in the article (at least they seem to). If they're wrong, say so. Jackmcbarn (talk) 01:58, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
They're not wrong but the maiden name can be a security issue for family members - that's why I removed it. Ironladle (talk) 22:44, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If it's already public, you're not helping anything by removing it from Wikipedia. Jackmcbarn (talk) 01:51, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I beg to differ; I would be helping to prevent it becoming a serious information and identity security issue for family members. The information is not integral to the entry and has a large potential downside by remaining. I mistakenly included it in the original entry and I wanted, and still do, want to remedy it by removing that information. Ironladle (talk) 07:30, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If someone wanted to use that information for nefarious purposes, if they couldn't get it here, they'd just get it from wherever you originally got it from. Jackmcbarn (talk) 15:25, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's really not true and even if it were, that shouldn't mean the information should be made more available by listing it on the 6th most popular website in the entire world. As to why it's not true, you'll note that many of the sources in the entry are not English-language, whereas the wikipedia entry is, thus making the same information significantly less accessible if it is not on wikipedia. I've started an RfC to ask the community's opinion on this matter at Talk:Alishan Bairamian. Jackmcbarn (talk) 14:40, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
