Fair use rationale for Image:Ninelives.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ninelives.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello, IrisKawling. Pro-diacritic & Anti-diacritic editors have agreed (months ago) at WPTP, to keep 'diacritics' off the 30 NHL team pages (and the former NHL team pages), while leaving them on NHL player pages. This understanding on both sides, was reached, to help end diacritics disputes. Just letting you know. GoodDay 18:10, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'm gradually 'systematically' hiding diacritics from all the 30 NHL team pages (and later the fomer NHL team pages). By adding the diacritics (particular to the 'current roster'), a reopening of a can of worms will occurr. GoodDay 18:48, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:1977-04-30 Pontiac ALS.jpg has no fair use rationale provided. Its a great photograph, but without a rationale, it will get deleted. Please provide a rationale, by the directions on the page. —Gaff ταλκ 23:34, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Stats tables
Good to see your putting work into converting the stats tables from the huge off the page ones to the more condensed versions... I'm just curious, what started you up doing that? CroCan I'll die before I surrender, Tim 02:10, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- I've noticed it being used in a few articles such as Mark Messier and Gordie Howe and wondered why it wasn't incorporated into more players stats that have 20+ seasons. I was actually just doing some sifting through WT:HOCKEY to see if there was any official ruling on when it should be used, but didn't find any, so just beginning to insert it into articles at my discretion. IrisKawling 02:14, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, okay, I had done it for those articles as well as the Wendel Clark and a few others a month or two ago. I just thought it had a much crisper look as opposed to it being all spaced out. I see no reason why it should not be encouraged. Keep up the good work! CroCan I'll die before I surrender, Tim 02:28, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Rescue Me poster.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Rescue Me poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:55, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Are you requesting speedy deletion on this page ...
This page User:IrisKawling/monobook.js has some code in it that is making it come up as a Candidate for Speedy Deletion. Please check and adjust so that you do not lose the page.--VS talk 09:33, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:Alwayssunny.png
I have tagged Image:Alwayssunny.png as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. MER-C 08:52, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Pagetheremin.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on Opie and Anthony. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I don't appreciate you attacking my edits simply because I listen to a different radio show. Gaborik
All right, thank you. Being that the diacritics section was just added on there June 19 and the Gaborik vote was completed August 2 last year, I had no idea that this was the standard now. I will update the vote section I created on MG's discussion page. Again, thank you for pointing that out. WildFan48 19:42, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

RE: Jeff Buckley category to be deleted
Noticed you have worked a lot in the Jeff Buckley article. I added a song page including two songs of Van Morrison's and created a Jeff Buckley Category in the process. I received a message today that it is up to be deleted. See what you think. I added Tim Buckley to it today, so if you feel it's worthwhile to try to keep it, you might want to discuss it on this page: Categories for discussion. Thanks, and thanks also for moving the VM myspace EL. Agadant 20:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter Dear IrisKawling/Archive 2! You are receiving this newsletter because you have signed up as a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey. The purpose of this newsletter is to update on the goings on of the project, as there have been major changes, and a lot of new recognized content in the past few weeks. If you are an inactive user, you probably won't recognize the new and improved state of the WikiProject! From the project, Maxim. New recognized content By Maxim
Article Improvement By Maxim Upon some discussion on the WikiProject talk page, the Article Improvement Drive page was revamped by Krm500 and Maxim. It was renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Article Improvement, and it includes two section. The first section is called articles in dire need of improvement. It list articles, usually important, that are in very poor shape. The second section is called requested help. Users list an article they request help improving a certain article, which will facilitate collaboration, which is the aim of any WikiProject. There is one article currently listed there, Henrik Lundqvist, here. The goal is to at least get it to Good article status. Diacritics By Maxim In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt. Task forces By Maxim This task force was initiated by Krm500. Its current goal is to improve Henrik Lundqvist to Good or Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES. This task force was initiated by Bsroiaadn. Its goal is to improve New Jersey Devils to Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock. Requested Images By Maxim

Re:Career Statistics
Well the stats look quite scrunched and it still is in the proper format, with the Reg. Season and playoffs above the stats. --Hasek is the best 03:42, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
