Notability of Ray miller uk
[edit]A tag has been placed on Ray miller uk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 20:10, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit]hello alexf, you just deleted my page Ray Miller UK. This is one of the first entries i have made so it is highly unlikely to be perfect. the reason for my inclusion is due to the fact that i am a senior communicatior in europes largest local government authority and people wish to know more about me. Is that enough for you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iprcom (talk • contribs) 20:41, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- It is not "what's enough for me" but rather what complies with Wikipedia's policies. To write about any particular person (let alone yourself) you first need to read about notability. Also I'd recommend you read about conflicts of interest and as per your last comment, you should understand what Wikipedia is not. Maybe you'd be better served by having a blog or a page in Facebook or other social networks perhaps? Also please remember to sign your messages in Talk spaces by adding four tildes (~~~~) -- Alexf42 21:27, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Gabriella miller
[edit]A tag has been placed on Gabriella miller, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.
Notability
[edit]Please see Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the criteria which are used to evaluate biographical articles. If you can find newspaper or magazine articles about the people you are writing about, you should add citations for those articles. See Template:Cite news for one way to cite newspapers. --Eastmain (talk) 02:10, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
