Windows Mobile 2002 exists
[edit]See [1] and [2], for example. --tyomitch 08:36, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
- I understand your point, and accept it fully. However you've highlighted the only two examples of WM2002 on the Microsoft site, two examples out of three / four years since the thing was released. It's a marketing faux pas used to bring PPC2002 into line with WM2003 once the marketing consultation team finished their mulling. As far as the formal release schedule goes there is no such thing, any more than there is actually a formal product called Windows CE 3.1 or Windows CE 4.21. It's cuddly branding.
- It's not "the only two examples of WM2002 on the Microsoft site" - it's just the top two matches out of [3], which brings 480 results. Quite enough, I guess. --tyomitch 17:50, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
meta name="googlebot" content="noarchive"
[edit]Why did you use this meta on HPC Factor pages? The server's performance is very poor currently, and this meta blocks us from the opportunity of browsing much faster Google cache. --212.193.74.228 05:43, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
- This has what to do with Wikipedia? If you want to address us on issues with HPC:Factor, please do so on our time using our resources, not on someone elses. Thanks. --C:Amie 16:45, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
- Nothing to do with Wikipedia, just came across you here and decided to leave you a note, in case you cared. Feel free to ignore this if you don't. --212.193.74.228 05:32, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
- It wouldappear that I am at a disadvantage, as I clearly don't know who you are. Either way, if you wish to address with me, the moderators or the other owners over what you precieve to be a problem with HPC:Factor. Please do so on HPC:Factor.--C:Amie 17:27, 12 October 2005 (UTC)
If you would be so kind as to review the diagram I've uploaded, and let me know if any changes should be made, I'd appreciate it. McNeight 23:29, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
- Look OK to me at this late hour, I'm sure I'll go over it again. Please be aware that that particular document is being re-revisioned at the moment so is liable to undergo a few content changes in the next couple of weeks - you might want to use the Perma Link to the History Article: http://www.hpcfactor.com/qlink/?linkID=20. File source problem with File:Geometrics-band-2009.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Geometrics-band-2009.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:11, 9 April 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Radiant chains (talk) 01:11, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Microsoft Office Mobile article-factual inaccuracies
[edit]Hi, C:Amie, I apologise for bothering you with this, but I see you've (among others) contributed substantially to Windows CE and Handheld PC articles. Anyway, I'll get on point, I was reading the Microsoft Office Mobile article, and a number of factual inaccuracies got to me, namely the fact that the Handheld PC has been completely omitted.
"Office Mobile originally debuted as Pocket Office on the Pocket PC 2000 operating system in April 2000. It has since been updated several times."
"Office Mobile originally shipped as "Pocket Office", and was released by Microsoft with the Pocket PC 2000 operating system in April 2000."
So, I added back in the Handheld PC, but I am needing to find some sources.. If you'd like to help, please let me know. Thanks for reading this, and if you don't wish to, that's totally okay. Kiranerys 20:36, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
File:Geometrics-band-2009.jpg listed for deletion
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Geometrics-band-2009.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Sven Manguard Wha? 04:11, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- In order to ensure that the file is kept, you need to link to the place where the image came from, and link to where the image was released into the public domain. If you know Carl Manley, please see WP:IOWN and have Carl fill out either the template email at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries, or have him send an email stating that it is in the public domain to the permissions-commons@wikimedia.org email address. File permission problem with File:Geometrics-band-2009.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Geometrics-band-2009.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T/C) 16:15, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
