Hi, can you please be a bit more careful when organising these lists? In this edit you removed Tunis – would you please add it back and check there aren't any similar omissions from the current list. Always press 'show changes' just in case you messed something up, or the list will be thrown out of order if no one notices. J947 † ^edits 01:54, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

As an aside: I do think your proposal to organise the level 4 geography list by region rather than type of geographical feature is an excellent idea. It is a pretty big change so probably propose it at WT:VA4, but I'll absolutely support it. J947 † ^edits 01:59, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

cleanup ideas for Wikipedia:Vital articles/Level/5/History

Leaving some comments here:

• from History by continent and region (47 articles) - Ruthenia is an odball. Should likely be moved to the history by period. Ditto for History of China and its subarticles, History of Korea, India, and Maritime history (that should go to hisory by topic, obviously).
• I suggest moving everything from 'History by country and subdivision (422 articles)' that is not a history of country or history of subdivision thee as well. That means everythign from History of Poland, and entries on Idel-Ural State, Hudson's Bay Company, Halifax Explosion, entries from US General and Colonial history, Cape Colony, Boer republics, Phosphate mining in Banaba and Nauru, Kuomintang in Burma, Gokishichidō, Provinces of Japan and Straits Settlements.
• US 'History by demographic group (15 articles)' should be merged with 'History by ethnicity (10 articles)'

PPS. And we likely need to add to V5 History of Silesia, History of Galicia (Eastern Europe), History of Pomerania... they are not just for Poland, but Germany/Austria/Russia/Czech/Slovakia in various propotions. American other politicians removal votes

I notice you voted "support" on a bunch of these but you didn't actually give any rationale.  What is your rationale?  Are you just blindly voting support for whatever reason?  Did you read the rationales I gave for opposing the removals? ~~~~ pbp 13:46, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
