If you would like to play around with your new Wiki skills without changing the mainspace, the Sandbox is for you.
That page was already bloated, and your addition to it was one of the bulkiest ever. I've therefore cut it down to size and referred the interested reader here. (Of course, you're welcome to readd the two or three most important references.) -- Hoary (talk) 10:20, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bearcat was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage (not just mere mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of people, the golden rule and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners and Help:Introduction to referencing/1), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The "MSM blood donation in Canada" section is irrelevant to Karas' notability, as he's not a major player in that issue or its coverage -- all he did is file a human rights complaint that has yet to actually be heard or decided on, so that doesn't constitute a reason why somebody would get an encyclopedia article. So I can evaluate his notability only on the basis of the school board controversy -- but that just makes him a WP:BLP1E, not a person who has passed the ten-year test for enduring significance. I also have to advise you to familiarize yourself with our conflict of interest rules -- the history of this draft, and the mainspace version that was deleted in 2013, carries all of the hallmarks of being an WP:AUTOBIO by a person who's trying to deem himself notable enough for an encyclopedia article (or at least somebody who knows him personally, and thus still has a COI.) But that's not how Wikipedia works. What would convince me otherwise is some evidence that you're willing and able to contribute to Wikipedia on other topics besides Christopher Karas alone -- absent that, I don't believe for a second that you don't have a direct conflict of interest.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Christopher Karas and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
If you now believe the draft cannot meet Wikipedia's standards or do not wish to progress it further, you may request deletion. Please go to Draft:Christopher Karas, click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window, add "{{db-self}}" at the top of the draft text and save.
