So are you actually planning on working on any articles or just posting notes? Are you just going to learn how to use Wikipedia? I am just trying to figure out exactly what is going on. As you correctly surmised, just using Wikipedia for hosting purposes is prohibited. Also, I would suggest having your professor take a look at Wikipedia:School and university projects.
