Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give New Zealand Democratic Party for Social Credit a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution.

I suggest you post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject New Zealand/politics explaining the name change, with a source, and someone there will help you sort it out.-gadfium 04:38, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure whether it was done correctly, but if you check out these two pages Social Credit Party (New Zealand) and New Zealand Democratic Party for Social Credit you will find that significant changes have been made to both pages. This is because they are one and the same organisation that has gone through a number of changes of name since it was formed in 1953. The information was fragmented and out of date given the most recent change of name (June 2018 - cited on both pages) back to Social Credit Party. As the current Leader of the party, and a former NZ President who has been actively involved since 1972, I know what should be where.

If you want me to take further action please let me know and I will endeavour to make the updates correctly.

With Thanks, Chris Leitch. Instepdance (talk) 05:21, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I was not sure what the appropriate category was to classify the logo jpg under, however the Social Credit party is the owner of the logo (see our web page https://www.socialcredit.nz/index.html As such I don't believe we need any other authorisation to use the logo as we see fit. If there is something more we need to do to comply with Wikipedia policy please advise. I responded to the message from gadfium (above)on 3 January 2019. I see both pages have been returned to their status prior to my edits. I am most unhappy that has been done. I would like to know why - 1. I have not had a response; 2. Given my explanation, why the edits I did have been removed. With Thanks, Chris Leitch, Leader. Social Credit.
