Removal of British Isles

Hi, I've reverted a number of your edits because I have a strong suspicion that you are either a sockpuppet (likely), a meatpuppet (very likely) or your account has been compromised (unlikely). If I've got this wrong please accept my apologies and maybe you could justify your edits, with references, before reinstating them. No problem. It's just that your types of edit, together with the format of your user talk page, are remarkably similar to another editor; maybe your father/husband/brother etc. In any event, I won't pursue it further. British Isles is a controversial term at Wikipedia so any removals or additions attract attention, and a number of editors have been admonished for removing the term without good reason, but don't let me scare you off! Hi. Insectgirl, you may not realize but getting accused of being a sockpuppet and a meatpuppet it taken very seriously on Wikipedia. It is not an accusation that should be made lightly, and it is not an accusation that you should let lie on your Talk page. The fact is, MidnightBlueMan was inferring that you are not a "real" account or a "real" person, and he has accused *you* of being *me*. His fishing for personal information is not strictly not allowed, and this type of "outing" is very severely discouraged. My advice is to ask him to apologize and withdraw the remark, and failing that, you should make a complaint at WP:ANI. It may seem like a lot of bother, but we try to maintain a civil atmosphere here on Wikipedia and abhorrent behavior is not tolerated.

Furthermore, MidnightBlueMan did not "fix" anything with your edits. He reverted them, or undid them. Partly because he believed it was me, and partly because they involved the term "British Isles". MidnightBlueMan has confessed to me that he watches every edit that involves the term "British Isles" and I believe he simple reverts the edits regardless of whether the edit is correct or not. In these cases, part of the problem is that you did not provide any references, which you should do. If you have references from a book or website (take a look at WP:RS for what is regarded as a reliable source) you should put those into the article.

Finally, it may seem like a lot of bother, and it may seem like there are lots of rules, but for the most part you will fine Wikipedia a rewarding way to spend your time.
