This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Today I Caught the Plague, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.sputnikmusic.com/bands.php?bandid=10841. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. A tag has been placed on Today I Caught the Plague requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. freshacconci talktalk 17:07, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Today I Caught the Plague requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Today I Caught the Plague. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. freshacconci talktalk 17:22, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Today I Caught the Plague. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. freshacconci talktalk 17:22, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Innerprimate's plead

[edit]

I realize this page is under dispute, i do appologize that i did not read the terms of adding information very clearly, i have been trying to revise the information ive gathered by permission from the drummer of the band Michael Ieradi, this information seems relevant to me because the band is refrenced in Protest The Hero's page, and is a touring Canadian metal band, that is becoming pretty well known across the country. Please allow me to add this information, without directly copying anything from any website, and using citations as a point of refrence. Please accept my appology for the format of this reply - innerprimateInnerprimate (talk) 17:39, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've considered the material that you posted as a response to the speedy deletion tag and thought I would try to explain in a little more detail than you have so far received. Administrators like myself who examine pages that have been tagged for speedy deletion compare those pages to Wikipedia standards that have been developed by the community over long periods. In this case, the relevant standard is WP:MUSIC, and I don't see any evidence that the band in question meets any of those 12 standards of notability. I have therefore deciided to agree with the individual who tagged the article for speedy deletion. You should be aware that this is not a bar to the article being recreated IF you can provide reliable sources that demonstrate that the band meets the WP:MUSIC criteria or the general notability guideline. You may want to look at WP:Your first article and WP:Why was my article deleted? for further background information, as well as following the other links in this paragraph, and if you have further questions about Wikipedia policy, you can leave me a note at your convenience. Sorry, a little further information. I wasn't aware that an article about the band had been involved in an articles for deletion discussion (the record is found at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Today I Caught the Plague). Since it failed that process, there actually is a generalized bar to the article being recreated; essentially, your only option is WP:Deletion review. Again, if you have questions, I'll try to assist you. Accounting4Taste:talk 18:38, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, i will review all of this as soon as i can, i will be able to tonight, at wich point i will comment on wether or not i can provide this information or not, thank you againInnerprimate (talk) 18:46, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
