Submission

[edit]

Greetings. The issue was not addressed yet. Your submission indicates no inclined citation. Your submission is a BLP, biography of living person. Hence, all of your points, claims must be inclined with citation. This is because, if any factual conflict arrises in the future, your incline citation will act as evidence to defend your points. If not present, some sections might be omitted from the article and other penalties. Do read the blue hyperlinks on the declination banner. Cheers. EROS message 04:31, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sourcing

[edit]

Greetings, User:InforgMM. About your sources, read: WP:RS. For reliable sourcing, you should go for: major newspaper, a factual, widely-published book, high-quality generally trusted mainstream publications. The sources must also be independent. Nothing written by the subject, paid for by the subject, or affiliated with the subject. Not their website, and not a press release. The sources you inserted are all bike racing related websites. By citing independent sources would be (for example) inserting a local newspaper article about Jason. Moreover, it is best for references to have significant coverage about the subject. Not passing mentions, not directory listings. And, no user-generated content like blogs, MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, fansites, Twitter, wikis. Cheers. If any question persist, do ping me or contact the AfC Helpdesk, link embedded on your declination banner.

In essence, IMBD sources are not reliable, thus improve source #1, #4, #5. Wikipedia cannot source itself either, so replace source #2 too. Instead, insert more sources like #6, #7. They are good sources. EROS message 03:33, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Longhair\talk 20:59, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Longhair, I totally understand the reasons the account has been blocked. However I would like to explain ,why I think that this has been a misunderstanding. I am a hungarian student, who is fascinated by the work of Mónika Mécs, who is a world wide known producer. So I was shocked, when I found out that there is no english, just a hungarian Wikipedia article about her. Thats why I contacted Inforg&MM and offered to edit an article about Mónika Mécs. I don't get paid for editing this article and I don't have the intention to promote anything. I just would like to contribute to Wikipedia by publishing this article, about a person, who participated in great films and is a major figure in the film industry. Looking forward to your answer.

Decline reason:

This doesn't explain why you'd contact InforgMM, nor why you chose that username. This smacks of violations of WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. Yamla (talk) 13:41, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Dear Administrators, I understand your problems with my login name and contacting Inforg-M&M, but i will try to explain it to you, why i chose to do it. Mónika Mécs is the delegate producer of Inforg-M&M and I wanted to make sure that it's okay with them, that I create an article about her. I chose this name, because it suited the subject. I really would like to create her page, because she is a world wide known female producer with award winning films (On Body and Soul) - just as Barbara Broccoli, for example. In my opinion she deserves an international wikipedia page, so please give me some tipps how to create a page for her. Looking forward to your answer. Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 17:02, 14 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There's no such thing as an "international Wikipedia page". Wikipedias are separated by language, not nationality. Also, at a minimum you would need to change your username, as we do not allow usernames that imply shared or official use. Use {{unblock-un|username|reason}} to request a name change unblock. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:48, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

Dear Administrators, I would like to change the username of my account from InforgMM to Szelmalom, as Jeremy v^_^v suggested that it is the first step, to getting the account unblocked. Now I understand that it is against wikipedia policies to use an username that implies shared or official use, so that is why I would like to change the name. Looking forward to your answer.

I have renamed your account, and someone else will review your unblock appeal, above. Yunshui  08:55, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Administrators, as you suggested I changed my username, from InforgMM to Szelmalom, to make the first step in unblocking my account. Unfortunately after changing my username my unblock request still got "Procedural declined". Hereby I would like to request the unblocking of my account as I did all the changes you suggested. I still would like to create a page about Monika Mecs, as she is a world wide known female producer with award winning films (On Body and Soul, Just the wind) and I think she deserves an english Wikipedia article. Looking forward to your answer. Szelmalom (talk) 10:27, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm in agreement with Scott below; I think being unblocked will require you to agree to not edit about Monika Mecs and tell what it is you will edit about instead. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 12:40, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Szelmalom, I took a look at your deleted draft for Monika Mecs, and unfortunately I agree with the reviewers. She may meet our notability guidelines, but does seem to lack significant coverage by reliable sources. Unless that changes, I would not expect any future versions of the article to pass review. Also, it still sounds like you have a conflict of interest on this topic. One need not be paid by or even affiliated with the subject of an article to have a COI--a strong desire to promote the subject and portray them in positive terms is enough.
All that is to say, I am not comfortable unblocking you if your only intention is to recreate the Monika Mecs article. While doing so would not be a rule violation, it would very likely be a waste of time for both you and the reviewers. If there's anything else you would like to work on, I'd be happy to reconsider. I'm leaving the request open at this time in case other admins feel differently. -- Scott (talk) 00:43, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
