Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Info-las, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Info-las/The Latvian Association of Architects, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome! Wikishovel (talk) 10:07, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Info-las/The Latvian Association of Architects requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.latarh.lv/services and https://www.latarh.lv/annual-award/about. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Secretlondon (talk) 12:32, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I wish to address the concerns regarding my previous actions on Wikipedia. I want to clarify that any disruption caused was unintentional and stemmed from a misunderstanding of Wikipedia's policies. Having reflected on the situation, I now grasp the importance of adhering strictly to these guidelines. Going forward, I am fully committed to contributing positively to Wikipedia, ensuring that my actions align with the community's expectations. I respectfully request your reconsideration of the block on my account. Info-las (talk) 15:23, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

AI generated requests are not considered(97% likely according to GPTzero). We want to hear from you, not an AI. Please write in your own words. 331dot (talk) 16:50, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What will you do differently? What do you understand you did wrong? Secretlondon (talk) 15:25, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Responding to the concern regarding my actions on Wikipedia. The written translation for the page Latvian Association of Architects was done to simply translate the page for the english community not to promote the business or anything related to that. Therefore as Wikipedia's guidelines and policies was understood not correctly as the platform is an open space for community and interaction, I wish to delete the post and be unblocked to correctly and intentionally join the community by following the guidelines and use the page by interacting with others. I hope the answer will bring some clarity as the act was done by not understanding the purpose of Wikipedia and as stated below I will follow the guidelines and introduce myself to the Wikipedia's policies. Decline reason:

The post has already been deleted. Please understand that the English Wikipedia is a separate project from the Latvian Wikipedia, with its own editors and policies, and what is acceptable on one version is not necessarily acceptable on another. Here, articles are not places for organizations to tell the world about themselves and what they do. Articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Please read conflict of interest and paid editing, and tell us what you will edit about instead of your organization, as you won't be permitted at this time to edit about it. 331dot (talk) 20:22, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
