The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Timestamps

[edit]

Hi there. I'm contacting you here as discussing things in edit summaries only gets you so far. Our disagreement about timestamps at Davy Klaassen is another example of that. ;-)

My understanding of how to use timestamps is based on long-established WP:FOOTY consensus which fellow editor "FkpCascais" refers to in this discussion:

"This issue has been setled long time ago. It was decided the timestamp would indicate that the stats are correct as to the date, rather than indicating the date of the last game. Once this was decided, updating a timestamp with correct stats is allways beneficial. Having an old timestamp is unproductive as it leaves readers wandering if stats may have changed by now."

Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:02, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't agree with this but fair enough go ahead and change it back then if there has been a consensus. Inexorable Existence (talk) 09:38, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Davy Klaassen again – quoted attributes

[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for fixing the incorrect totals at Davy Klaassen. Please don't remove the quotes for HTML attributes. In many cases, they are not necessary but they are definitely recommended. See:

  • https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_attributes.asp: "The HTML standard does not require quotes around attribute values. However, W3C recommends quotes in HTML, and demands quotes for stricter document types like XHTML."
  • HTML attribute#Description: […] "The value may be enclosed in single or double quotes, although values consisting of certain characters can be left unquoted in HTML (but not XHTML). Leaving attribute values unquoted is considered unsafe."

Actually, for a while I myself habitually removed the quotes because it looked "cleaner" to me until another football contributor here pointed out the above to me. Kind regards, 18:57, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

You're welcome. :-) Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 19:26, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Check the article talk page. I know what the term "free agent" means, but that article is written in British English and the term "free agent" is not typically used in British English. Players are far more commonly referred to as being "unattached" or having been "released". "Free agent" is extremely uncommon and is an example of a creeping Americanism. – PeeJay 19:24, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Jeff Hendrick

[edit]

The article Jeff Hendrick you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Jeff Hendrick for issues which need to be addressed. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 12:24, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Jeff Hendrick

[edit]

The article Jeff Hendrick you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Jeff Hendrick for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. REDMAN 2019 (talk) 12:37, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Updating the list with most official appearances

[edit]

Hello! I will keep updating the sandbox as I want to keep the super list (including youth internationals and other matches that were removed), but, seeing the list does not get updated, I would like to add that you are free to update it, if you are interested in doing so, and you can also use my sandbox, i.e. only parts that can be included, if you wish, which will stay updated.
