Re:

Want to explain to me how this is unsourced fan crap? You keep losing credibility by the post.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 02:49, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

WP:VERIFIABILITY rings a bell? And God forbid if you tell me that fan craps are not prevalent all over the encyclopedia especially in music articles. Who would know whether that's a fan warred number or something from a reliable source until a source is present? —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:47, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
You're totally missing my sarcasm mate. It was listed and sourced several times in the article. You blatantly overlook these things and continue to edit in a bias and childish manner. You've done this type of overlooking quite a few times already in the past days on Carey-related pages, removing sourced and reliable information (let's not forget to mention your edits are always trying to portray her in a negative light). Please just chill out and remain level-headed.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 05:52, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
@Petergriffin9901: If it was sourced in the article body, the table should have been sourced too. I'm sure you would understand how the information keeps on changing if not sourced and not pointing it to you, but we had trouble with a MC fan who kept on with these shenanigans. You are not regular nowadays as I can see from your editing (as I can understand you have college works?) but yeah he/she was m.e.s.s. This is not to shade Carey or anything, she is one of my favorites and "Hero" is one of my top-played songs on ipod. But yeah, somewhere down the lines the GA credibility got lost with that user. Frankly nowadays any unsourced content I see on Carey my mind immediately diverts to him/her. I do hope you can see this side of the story and let's start fresh. These snarky comments are not doing good to us anyways. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:04, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
Well, I'm glad and appreciate that you decided to talk things through in this manner. I really don't care who your preference in music is mate, all I ask is that you always display unbiased and third-party affiliation to all articles. If you say this is your intention, then I give you the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, over the years many of her GA-Class articles have diminished in quality (not to mention that GA standards were weaker the farther back you go). So yeah, much appreciated; we'll have a fresh start and just be careful when editing other female singers' numbers/sales ;-P PS. She has much better songs on her catalog :) BTW, your thoughts on Madonna's armpit hair? Lol--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 18:33, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
Her ballads always turn me on, pun unintended. :P "Hero", "OSD", I even love "HATEU", and "IWKWLI", most recent favorite is "TAOLG" song. Mariah at her best. That day "Migrate" came on radio and I was like why was this never a single? —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 10:29, 4 April 2014 (UTC)

Lady Gaga edit

Hi, sorry for that revert. I was on my phone and accidentally hit rollback. --GouramiWatcher(?) 12:13, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

For your information

Hi IndianBio,

I noticed that you reverted an edit by Lesser Cartographies on the 4 Minutes article. Lesser was editing that page for one purpose only, which was to gradually eliminate all references to "shop links", such as iTunes and Amazon, but he gave up once you confronted him and he saw that you're a very experienced Wikipedian; however, he met no opposition when he did the same thing previously on Roar. This is how that article looked before Lesser began to operate, and this is how it looked when he was finished. Please check the differences in the Formats and track listings section and in the Release history section. Maybe what he did was correct, but I'm not sure. For example, the source that he used in the Formats and track listings section seems strange to me. Thanks in advance, and have a nice day. Dontreader (talk) 01:55, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

Actually Allmusic reviewer says "her eponymous debut isn't simply good, it set the standard for dance-pop for the next 20 years." "the hallmark of dance-pop..." "launched her career, launched dance-pop". Probably means it is dance-pop album. As for other genres pop-rock and post-disco are listed on genre sidebar is not that reliable. 183.171.178.187 (talk) 13:46, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Reece Leonard

Have you read this? Reece seems to think we're all acting as some sort of posse, undoing his perfectly reasonable edits because we're ALL biased somehow. It might just be a user desperately scrounging for some sort of credibility - even if his rational is nonsensical - but I think it might be best if you keep an eye on this discussion. Anyone who goes through our contrib's pages can see that you and I have had our disagreements from time to time, but enough is enough of this nonsense. Time to indef block this disruptive user. Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:10, 12 April 2014 (UTC)

@Homeostasis07: wait and watch, he's perfectly moving towards an indef'd block. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:00, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
The awful thing is, I think the guy has learned how to abuse the IP system to avoid his topic ban. Maybe every Gaga article could be autoconfirmed for a year? It would be the only thing that would stop him. I doubt anyone would do that though. I guess we'll be patrolling until he gets fed up. =( Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:38, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
@Homeostasis07: he has indeed learnt it. I have ample proof of it so that the next socking comes up, I will re-open the SPI and this time it will be indefinitely blocked. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 04:23, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry. I feel like if I hadn't posted this here in the first place, I wouldn't have exposed you and your talk page as focal points of this nonsense. I feel pretty shitty right now: if I hadn't posted this, you wouldn't have been subjected to these ignorant, racist attacks. I sincerely apologise for this. I'll keep my mouth shut from now on, and just assume you and everyone who reverted those stupid edits has a grip on the entire situation. =) Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:34, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
@Homeostasis07: don't feel bad at all since it was not at all your fault. The attacks on my talk page were from another user, not Reece. The other user is known as CharlieJS13 (talk · contribs) who had been long banned from Wikipedia for genre warring. Now it goes around changing genres in articles anonymously and foul mouths any user reverts him. So yeah, we are all cool now. Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:38, 15 April 2014 (UTC)

Seeing as how Homeostasis has attempted to fabricate a disagreement between you and I and has gone so far as to put words in my mouth when I could not respond, I feel like I need to set the record straight. I appealed that block for a multitude of reasons (the simplest being that that IP you misattributed to myself was not me), and in the process of doing so I pointed out that a majority of Gaga pages are being edited by a very small group of users. I did not ever say that you were all working together or that you were all biased (although I certainly feel as if Homeostasis has a very obvious bias against the artist, most obviously proven by him stating that he "never [wanted] to discuss" the issue of the ARTPOP critical reception section page again until someone came along with a more negative summation; he was completely willing to discuss it if the discussion would result in a more negative consensus being listed. This is on top of the numerous instances of rewording reviews to make them sound more negative than they really were, blanking positive reviews on the G.U.Y. page, etc. etc. I've addressed these in the past). I certainly don't feel that you have a bias against this artist, and have praised your edits and behavior numerous times in the past and will continue to do so even after the fact that you falsely accused me of socking on the page for G.U.Y, an accusation that resulted in me being blocked for a week. I will assume good faith in this issue as I truly believe you were acting in the way you thought best, although I will repeat that that IP address was not me. My school is made up of hundreds of thousands of students, workers, visitors, etc. and the idea that none of them would edit a Lady Gaga page and a 30 Rock page at some point in their wikipedia career just isn't enough to prove that that account was me, especially since I'm flat out denying it. However, I have nothing but respect for you as an editor and I will not allow this user to state otherwise. @Homeostasis07:, it is absolutely abhorrent and deeply offensive that you would insinuate that I would post the egregious and vile comments that were left on this user's page. I would never attack someone for their heritage (although, that vandal apparently can't read; it's glaringly obvious that IndianBio is of Indian descent), race, sexuality, gender, or any other defining factor of their identity. This kind of personal attack is uncalled for and indefensible. If you ever accuse me of such indecency again I'll immediately bring you to the attention of administrators. IndianBio, you seem to be under the impression that I have miraculously learned how to manipulate IP addresses (something I don't even think is possible; they're assigned to each individual device when they're built and cannot be changed, at least according to what I've read recently). I can assure you that I have neither the time, the money, nor enough of an investment in editing Lady Gaga pages to invent a way to misrepresent IP addresses. You seem to be getting quite a bit of backlash for the critical reception that is listed on the G.U.Y. page (from what I've recently seen after you accused me of socking, there have been up to ten users operating under IP addresses that have tried to change the consensus listed) and I can certainly see why. There are 19 positive reviews listed on that page, 4 mixed and 4 negative. I'm at a loss for why you, Homeostasis, and XXSUG- (I don't remember the rest of his username) have attempted to list the song as receiving mixed reviews. When I insinuated that you were using me as a scapegoat to delegitimize these IP accounts on this page, I did not say that you were doing this intentionally. It is certainly possible that you really believed that all of these IP accounts were myself (again, I'll assume good faith here), although those accounts were listed as being in completely different parts of the world including Ecuador, the United Kingdom, etc. This simple geolocation effectively disproves that these users are myself. I do not appreciate the accusations, but I am certainly willing to overlook them as I respect your edits and want to continue to work together in the future. Homeostasis, I'd really appreciate it if you did not try to create rifts between me and other users. This kind of behavior is not what this community-based site is for. Thank you. Thanks for adding the details. Funny how the AfD discussion is still getting both Keep and Delete votes, even though it should obviously at worst be merged. Your GA nomination of Do What U Want

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Do What U Want you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Petergriffin9901 -- Petergriffin9901 (talk) 04:01, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

Singlevendor

Hello. See

Single-vendor/single-network charts:

  • Charts which rank material from a single vendor or network are generally unsuitable for inclusion in articles. They shouldnever be placed in discography tables or tables of charts. They may occasionally be mentioned in article prose if special circumstances warrant it. "Special circumstances" includes notable controversies alleging chart manipulation, or cases where eligibility requirements prevented standard charts from recognizing the sales. This would include, for example, the noted resurgence of Michael Jackson related sales at the time of his death, when many chart rules prevented any of his album sales from being credited towards a chart position. Similarly, some charts representing the home country of the artist or composer (this can mean country of origin, country of residence, official nationality or any country where the artist or composer has lived for a substantial part of their lives) or releases with a strong link to the country in question (e.g. Eurovision entries), can be included if no other suitable charts can be located

For this, in several articles, itunes is inclueded, just only if have some notable: "Special circumstances". Why you delete this? Regards. Connie (A.K) (talk) 14:03, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

You answered your own question in that paragraph. Don't edit war. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:04, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

"Sexxx Dreams"

Hmm, "Sexxx Dreams" cannot exist but "Double Rainbow" is considered a Good article? Strange. Do you think that with a little more work, "Sexxx Dreams" could also be good article. Many people voted to redirect/delete the article before it was majorly expanded. --Another Believer (Talk) 17:17, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

@Another Believer: it most definitely can and I had started a draft also, but alas, it got redirected. PS, "Double Rainbow" is even pathetic than "Sexxx Dreams" and XXSNUGGUMSXX has put it up for GAR. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 17:58, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
FYI, I went ahead and completed reference formatting, but then redirected the article back to Artpop. --Another Believer (Talk) 20:35, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for doing that dude. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:52, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Wow, the G.U.Y. article looks great! I would say "good", but... :) --Another Believer (Talk) 14:48, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

@Another Believer: thanks buddy, I really hope I can expand on the ArtRave Ball performance and then it can be good.... :P —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:02, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
Awesome. Yeah, I am still hoping for a bit more press on "Sexxx Dreams" so that the article can be resurrected. --Another Believer (Talk) 15:04, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
I kinda wish she does some sort of controversy with "Sexxx Dreams", so that further notability comes ala "Swine", and with Gaga, its expected I guess. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:06, 6 May 2014 (UTC)

Soliciting comment...

Hi! Would you care to review or comment/vote (support/oppose) at my FA nomination for the article Marquee Moon, an article about a rock music album? Information on reviewing an FA nomination's criteria is available at WP:FACR. If not, feel free to ignore this message. Cheers! Dan56 (talk) 06:37, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

@Dan56:, thanks for your message, however I have to pass commenting on this since I am not that much aware of rock music in general, so my points would not come with much strength and would be vapid. Good luck though and it seems like it would pass the nomination. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 07:15, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Your behaviour

Listen, Bio, I have withdrawn the FA for Miley. But your overall behaviour at the FA was directly offending me. I have complete right to ask your comment to be supported by guidelines. Do not repeat this behaviour again. Shane Cyrus (talk) 10:46, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

@Shane Cyrus:, if you would have read the link WP:FA?, you would have known that how the article was grossly unfit for FAC. As for the belittling attitude, why my dear, you brought it upon yourself with your dismissal of everyone's points. Next time, learn to give respect to other's opinions and eat some humble pie, you will see that would be treated the same too. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 10:50, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
I may regret getting involved in this, but I wouldn't say it was "grossly unfit", particularly considering the relative lack of actionable complaints. While my support may have been hasty (I haven't gone back to check up on the article), it passed GAN without too much trouble. (The nominator, Jaguar, has reviewed a few of my GANs, including a current one.) And nominating an FAC you haven't significantly contributed to, while against the rules and for good reason, isn't that bad. I mean, I did the same thing with Pokémon Diamond and Pearl back in 2008, because I was 13 and didn't know any better, and I didn't get nearly this much flack for it. Tezero (talk) 04:20, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

@User:IndianBio; Everyone asked me to improve the article and I did but you randomly made a strong oppose without any points. And even irritated further. That is my problem! Shane Cyrus (talk) 11:00, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

I am not your enemy, Bio! I am from India too. Why do you hate me? Bieber's article doesn't fail GA! Shane Cyrus (talk) 17:20, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Sorry Shane, but articles automatically fail GA criteria when they are unstable. Also, a user saying that an article fails FA or GA doesn't equate to hating the nominator. Taking a look at the article on the Biebs, there are also dead refs, unreliable refs, and incorrectly formatted refs. If you need an analysis of the ref's, I can give it to you. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 17:26, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Shane, I really do not care what you feel about me, however the articles, both of which you nominated have terrible conditions to meet per GA and FA guidelines, that's why they are opposed. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:07, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Incidents

Regarding this, I'm starting to think Shane might need to be reported to WP:ANI. On another note, looks like Reece is socking again. I already filed an SPI. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 05:40, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

@XXSNUGGUMSXX:, the user is being extremely disruptive. User:Status has replied to him/her. If I see any further disruptions like that please file an ANI. And Reece, poor lad. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:54, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Will do. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 06:03, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
@XXSNUGGUMSXX:, I just saw the Reece sock, pretty blatant sockpuppetry. It is time to indefinite the user. Have no good faith left in him. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 06:06, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Sounds like a case of "three strikes and you're out" to me. If not indefinite, I'd be shocked if Reece doesn't get blocked for a bare minimum month or two. Also, this is simply absurd. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 07:02, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
@XXSNUGGUMSXX:, that "Excuse me?" again proved that it is Reece. Lol, seriously he is not even that intelligent to be a proper sock because it is getting beyond obvious now. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 07:06, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Saying something like "I came to Wikipedia to edit _____" can also suggest intentions of inserting fancruft. At this point, I'm starting to think it might be a case of trolling. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 07:35, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
WP:DENY completely applies here and keep on reverting the sock. The SPI will be enough to block it completely. Don't get into any discussions as that would actually be contrary to WP:DENY. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 08:07, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
In a way, WP:DENY seems like a somewhat oxymoronic concept, but will definitely keep reverting. I've also filed an ANI and RFP for the page. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 08:09, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Yep, the SPI would have been enough. Better would be to notify that admin, forgot his name, who had blocked Reece the first time (Drmies? Dangerous Panda?) —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 08:11, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
That was Ponyo who performed the CU which confirmed Mark2017 as a sock. STATicVapor had previously requested DangerousPanda for a CU, and Ponyo stepped in beforehand. Drmies so far has not been involved, though she could help as well. XXSNUGGUMSXX (talk) 08:31, 9 May 2014 (UTC)
Hmmm sorry--I don't think I have anything to contribute here without reading up. What's the SPI, if there is one? Drmies (talk) 15:43, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi IndianBio, and congratulations on the FL! The bot that closes both FLCs and FACs hasn't worked properly for a while now, and it causes problems for the processes like the one you're seeing. One of my fellow FLC closers, Hahc21, has taken to closing FLCs that the bot misses on the 15th and 30th of each month, if I remember what he said correctly. If the FLC hasn't been closed by then, it should be taken care of. If not, I'll jump in and resolve the issue. Hopefully it won't be much longer anyway. Giants2008 (Talk) 02:30, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

Just to let you know, I already reported your constant reverts on GUY page based on your personal and biased opinion and you breaking the 3 reverts rule today. Bye!

Your GA nomination of Do What U Want

The article Do What U Want you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Do What U Want for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know.
