Zardari

[edit]

OK. No problem. That article has a lot of issues and I reacted to an edit which seemed to treat some of his alleged crimes as facts. I see what you were doing now. Gimmetrow 17:24, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

P-8 image

[edit]

The P-8 image never decipts it belonging to any particular country. I had chosen this image from a group of images in which many of them were with the U.S Navy emblem. The other only one with the Indian roundels is present in Boeing website. It's not released to the U.S Navy, hence cannot be used. So this image.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 15:10, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Can you find a suitable, complete image for the future section of the Indian Navy? Something like the image of the IAC will be better. Anyway are you going for AeroIndia-2009? Chanakyathegreat (talk) 06:39, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Since there are too many images, I am replacing the other two from that section.Chanakyathegreat (talk) 03:22, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pakistan Air Force article

[edit]

Dear sir. This is what is written by reference 11 of this article:

"The F-86F apeared to have an ascendancy over the Hunter. The gnat on the other hand was the surprise of the conflict. Nicknamed the "Sabre Slayer", it accounted for at least six sabres. Its small size made it hard to see and its out-standing power to weight ratio accounted for superb maneuverability."
(next paragraph)
"...The F-86Fs allegedly shot down the most aircraft: 19 Hunters, six gnats...."

In a picture caption, the source also states the following:

"The F-86s did well against the Hunters & Mysteres but had trouble with the gnat."

Yet in the article's 1965 war sub-section where this reference is used, it is stated that "The F-86F... were outclassed again by the Gnats." The reference states nothing of the sort.

Reference 12 is a book titled "Air Power and Challenges to IAF" in which the writer is CLEARLY biased against the Pakistani point of view. It's the same story with reference 13, a book titled "Emerging India: Security and Foreign Policy Perspectives."

You accuse me of being nationalistic and biased, yet this article has bias written all over it! Where are the Pakistani figures and view-points? Why doesn't the article highlight the figures provided by neutral sources as the truth rather than Indian figures? How can you accuse me of bias when the article is not only exaggerating what a neutral sources says in favour of the Indian Air Force, but using biased sources to back biased claims? Not only that, but the writer clearly has not even bothered to state neutral claims or even Pakistani claims in some cases? Hj108 (talk) 12:30, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for understanding my concerns. Hj108 (talk) 13:40, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:PhalconIl-76.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:PhalconIl-76.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MilborneOne (talk) 19:45, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Indianaircraftcarrier.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Indianaircraftcarrier.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:18, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
