Speedy deletion contested: Nine Mile (band)
[edit]Hello InDimensional. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Nine Mile (band), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Please read the criteria for speedy deletion properly before tagging anymore pages. Thank you. BangJan1999 18:48, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello,
Please do not revert constructive edits as you did on Billy Elliot, reverting an edit where a spelling mistake was fixed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks.

- The edit where you changed "favorite" to "favuorite"? InDimensional (talk) 10:28, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
The edit which you marked as vandalism, wherein favorite was eventually changed to favourite. Instead of fixing the typo, you reverted the edit and marked it as vandalism, that is not constructive. 2A00:23C5:8104:2401:3C60:2806:A256:DA3C (talk) 11:09, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- Well, my apologies, I didn't know you were going to eventually correct it. Both 'favourite' and 'favorite' are acceptable on Wikipedia, see MOS:ENGVAR. In unintended consequences, the paragraph in question was removed for being trivia anyway. InDimensional (talk) 11:20, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- That depends entirely on the context.
- When an article has been written in British English, which the article is, favorite is not acceptable.
- American English should not be used in that context, which is what I was attempting to change.
- Obviously if the article was written in American English, then favourite would not also not be acceptable and should be changed also.
- Even if I hadn't eventually corrected the typo, it clearly wasn't vandalism which is what you claimed.

- I thought there was something on wikipedia wherein you should assume that edits have been made in good faith, that always used to be the case.
- If you had applied that logic, you would have seen it as a typo and corrected it.
- Instead you undid it and marked it as vandalism.

Please make use of Proposed deletion
[edit]I see you've been nominating articles in Category:Music articles with topics of unclear notability. That's cool and all, but you've been nominating them at a rate of more than six a day, which is way too much. Please make use of the proposed deletion system for uncontroversial deletions; to do so, click the PROD
button in the Twinkle menu. Mach61 00:13, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
- Ok will do, thanks for the heads up! InDimensional (talk) 00:21, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted
[edit]Hi InDimensional, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.
This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:
- Add Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers to your watchlist to follow NPP-related discussions
- If you use Twinkle, configure it to log your CSDs and PRODs
- If you can read any languages other than English, add yourself to the list of reviewers with language proficiencies
You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! – Joe (talk) 13:08, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
