User talk:Image Shop
I'm just a user who likes to help by cleaning up and enhancing images to make them easier to see on screen.
If you have an image; such as an old painting that needs a bit of TLC please list it below. I will download it clean it up and reload it with the same title with the word 'cleaned' on the end.
Then it's up to you to edit the article it's used in to show the cleaned image. Unless anyone knows how to replace the image concerned with the same title.

[edit]Very nice! I'll note, incidentally, that the images you cleaned up are on the Wikimedia Commons; if you could upload the cleaned versions there, they could be used across the various projects. —Kirill Lokshin 16:24, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
In regard to your question on replacing images: you can upload a cleaned image to the same file name as the original, and it will then replace the original in articles without the need for further edits. —Kirill Lokshin 16:26, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think that you will need to create a separate login for the Commons (although you're free to use the same username); the developers have been working on a cross-project login system, but it's not quite finished yet.
- As far as overwriting images: you'll get a warning, but I believe there should be an option to overwrite the image anyway. —Kirill Lokshin 16:39, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Alfonso_I_d'Este_cleaned.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:25, 14 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 13:25, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for uploading File:The death of Gaston Foix in the Battle of Ravenna cleaned.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:23, 7 December 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:23, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
