Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, IbrarrKhan, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Draft:Bonhill Group plc, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Bonhill Group plc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://bonhillplc.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I've just deleted the third version of your draft because it was substantially copied from the company's website. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, IbrarrKhan. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Galobtter (pingó mió) 15:42, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to What Investment. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Hi! I see that to date you've done essentially nothing here but try to promote Bonhill Group. Do you have some connection to that company? Please note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. If you are receiving, or expect to receive, monetary or other benefits or considerations from editing Wikipedia as a representative of an organization (as an employee or contractor; as an employee or contractor of a firm hired by that organization for public-relations purposes; as owner, officer or other stakeholder; or by having some other form of close financial relationship with a topic you wish to write about), then you must disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:IbrarrKhan. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=IbrarrKhan|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please say so, here on this page. Otherwise, please make the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you have answered this message. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:34, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted, as you did at Draft:Bonhill Group plc. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:24, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I think i should be unblocked because all I was trying to do was make a wiki page for my company because we don't have one yet. I am also new to wiki so didn't understand the policys that well but i have had a little read over them and noe understand a lot better what I can and cant do. Please unblock so I can attempy at making my company a page again because we really need it, thanks. IbrarrKhan (talk) 09:21, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have been blocked for violating the copyright policy, so you will need to indicate that you have read and understand the copyright policy by explaining it in your own words. As you indicate that you want to edit about your business, you will also need to review conflict of interest and paid editing, which will explain why you won't be permitted to edit about your company. If you want to edit about another subject, you may make another unblock request, I am declining this one. 331dot (talk) 09:43, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No one "needs" a Wikipedia article, in fact, there are good reasons that someone (or something) might not want one. Anything, as long as it appears in an independent reliable source, can be in a Wikipedia article, be it good or bad. Wikipedia is not concerned with your company's internet presence or enhancing its search results. Those are things that you should do on your own website. Wikipedia has no interest in what a company wants to say about itself; Wikipedia is only interested in summarizing what independent reliable sources with in depth coverage(not press releases, staff interviews, or brief mentions) state about an article subject, indicating how it meets the relevant notability guidelines, in this case those for businesses. Not every business merits an article here, even within the same field. If all you want to do here is tell the world about your business, you will not be unblocked. 331dot (talk) 09:43, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Someone on my ip wishes to make a wiki account and they cannout because my ip is banned, my account can continue to be blocked but could you unlock my ip so other people using can make accounts?

Decline reason:

There should be no way for you to know this unless this is a violation of WP:SOCK or WP:MEAT. Regardless, there are no grounds here to lift your block. This person, if they are unrelated to you and will not be editing in concert with you, is free to have an account created for them via WP:ACC. Yamla (talk) 16:14, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
