German destroyers
Hi, you have five German destroyers at ACR at the moment and it seems a couple of reviewers are giving feedback that relates to the whole series. Do you think it might be a good idea to shelve four of them for the time being and work with reviewers on just one of them until everybody's happy to avoid lots of duplicated effort and to give you a chance to focus on one without being distracted by things going on with the others? You could also reach out to some of the other warship experts for advice. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 04:56, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- @HJ Mitchell: I'm not sure what the best course of action is. @Parsecboy: any suggestions? -- Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 15:51, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- I generally try to keep it to one at a time, at least for closely related articles like in this case, in part because I don't want to overload reviewers, and in part because comments that apply to one are likely to apply to the others, and if you can address those from the first review, they won't be problems with later reviews on the other articles. Parsecboy (talk) 16:23, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- This is generally my thinking as well. I sometimes have one at FAC and one at ACR, with perhaps a third if the first two are progressing well. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:01, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

- Following a discussion about mass-application of ECP and how the need for logging and other details of an evolving consensus may have been missed by some administrators, a rough guide to extended confirmed protection has been written. This information page describes how the extended-confirmed aspects of the protection policy are currently being applied by administrators.
- You can now search for IP ranges at Special:Contributions. Some log pages and Special:DeletedContributions are not yet supported. Wildcards (e.g. 192.168.0.*) are also not supported, but the popular contribsrange gadget will continue to work.
- Community consultation on the 2017 candidates for CheckUser and Oversight has concluded. The Arbitration Committee will appoint successful candidates by October 11.
- A request for comment is open regarding the structure, rules, and procedures of the December 2017 Arbitration Committee election, and how to resolve any issues not covered by existing rules.
Emptying of Roman walls/limes in Britannia
Hi. You might want to review recent contributions by Rjdeadly who has been emptying and shuffling some of the Roman wall/limes categories in the UK. It's not my subject at all but I know you worked on them about a year ago and there was some discussion of the subject at that time, I thought you might like a heads-up. Cheers. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Roman walls in the United Kingdom
A tag has been placed on Category:Roman walls in the United Kingdom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —swpbT go beyond 17:07, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

Hello! Last year, you signed up to participate in Wikipedia Asian Month (WAM) 2016 on the English Wikipedia. The event was an international success, with hundreds of editors creating thousands of articles on Asian topics across dozens of different language versions of Wikipedia.

Editors who create at least four articles will receive a Wikipedia Asian Month postcard!
Also be sure to check out the Wikipedia Asian Art Month affiliate event - creating articles on Asian art topics can get you a Metropolitan Museum of Art postcard!

Military History Template Usage
While reviewing the series of Milecastle articles 1-... I found that every entry on the talk page of WP Military History consisted of the entire template with only one category changed (class). I have cleaned it up on a lot of them but I would appreciate it if you would clean up the remainder as to make it easier for all WP on Wikipedia, not just WP Military History.
