Knitsey,
If you get rid of this nickname you might as well go to every stadium’s wiki page and get rid of there nickname as well. Most sports venues with nicknames don’t have a verified source deeming the nickname to be official. A nickname is something that is popularized by fans, and for fans. Many UMass fans online have been using this nickname for about a month now, even the universities official NIL parter has used this nickname. I can only provide screenshots of this names use, but this is something that has gained traction over the last few weeks and deserves to be on the page. Hi there, thanks for reaching out. I've no idea about most stadiums nicknames, but they should be referenced.
I do appreciate what you're saying but unfortunately, wikipedia does require a reference.
Has any of the local press written about it? You say it's a recent name, so it might be that you need to wait for it to become a common name and written about before including it. Happy editing, Knitsey (talk) 17:46, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes local press has written about it. Where do I provide that reference so it isn’t taken off again? Ianjaffe11 (talk) 17:47, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Great! If you're not sure about how to add a ref then post a link here and I can do it if you want? Knitsey (talk) 17:48, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds great, thank you!
Here are two articles referencing the name:

Eek, I put it in the wrong place at first then my mum phoned lol.
I think that's done. If the nickname doesn't pan out then someone might remove it. See how it goes. Thanks for the reference. Knitsey (talk) 18:19, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for all your help! Is it ok if I make Junkyard one word? Ianjaffe11 (talk) 18:31, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, fill your boots Knitsey (talk) 18:34, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! There is one more edit I’d like to make to this article. The image of the stadium is a bit out of date. I have another image I’d like to upload but I’m not sure how. I understand any image has to be cleared by wiki first. Where to I go to upload the image link? Ianjaffe11 (talk) 19:41, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't generally deal with uploading photos, but I know a place to ask. Try asking at Wikipedia:Teahouse, there are lots of helpful people there. Knitsey (talk) 19:44, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good, thanks! Ianjaffe11 (talk) 19:44, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
