Adding an Article About One's Self

[edit]

Hi there. I have no way of knowing for sure if you, having named your Wikipedia user account as "IanHarvie," are, in fact, the performer Ian Harvie; if you are not, please disregard this comment. If, however, you ARE, please note: your entry of the article Ian Harvie is very flawed and, as a rule, is really not allowed. It is hugely frowned upon for people to create and/or edit an article about themselves. A Wikipedia article also must be sourced and referenced, and unfortunately "I know it's fact because it's about me" doesn't really qualify. I am doing some major chopping and editing of your article, and it is now up to the users of Wikipedia to decide what to do with it, but if you are, in fact, Ian Harvie, please refrain from editing the article in the future. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Ianharvie! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Ian Harvie - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
