[edit]Hello, I'm Minorax. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Phenomics because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Minorax (talk) 10:57, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- Please do not add external links to the article text as you did at Phenomics. They may or may not be suitable for use as references or in the external links section, but they do not belong in the text. The welcome notice I'm adding after this has lots of helpful links. If you have questions about editing Wikipedia, please visit the Teahouse, our help forum for new editors. Thank you. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 12:32, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks to you both, Minorax and BlackcurrantTea. I'm learning and you're helping.

Your draft page has been moved
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Carolyn Lawrence-Dill, from its old location at User:Iacornflake/Carolyn Lawrence-Dill. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Nathan2055talk - contribs 20:35, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Nathan2055talk - contribs 20:37, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll try now... Iacornflake (talk) 15:51, 16 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit]- Oh wow, you're the woman herself! I came here to recommend that you look into joining Women in Red, a WikiProject devoted to creating more articles about women on Wikipedia. The sciences are a HUGE part of this project, so you'd be welcomed with open arms! I'm actually going to make a small post asking for help with the draft and just to let people know that you're interested in editing on science related articles. :) On a side note, (sorry, a bit of a shameless shill for a former employer) Wiki Education holds classes for people who are interested in learning more about editing Wikipedia. They had one on editing and creating articles for women scientists and while it's currently in progress and as such, enrollment is closed, they have classes like this all the time. Jami (Wiki Ed) can tell you more about this - basically these classes teach you from the ground up as far as editing goes. - Welcome from me too! Please do join us at WP:Women in Red—wonderfully expert, helpful community to lend a hand as you learn the ropes! Innisfree987 (talk) 06:08, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Hey, User:ReaderofthePack and User:Innisfree987! THANKS for your encouragement and help! I'm thinking I could likely manage a woman a month. I thought doing myself first I'd know what was correct. Doing another person will be harder, for sure! I'll check out Women in Red just as soon as I manage to get all the notes for updates on my own page sorted. THANK YOU!!!
