Cinergy Motion Picture Production System

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Cinergy Motion Picture Production System. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. John Reaves 16:20, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please provide multiple non-trivial sources to show that your articles warrant inclusion within the encyclopedia before recreating them. -- Steel 16:38, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I'm not sure where you're asking me to do that if the article keeps getting deleted. If you're able, as an admin, to contact me via the email in my login, please do so. Be advised that email is taking approx 1 hr to arrive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IGuy (talkcontribs)

This page will do. -- Steel 16:49, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Essentially, I was advised by someone that they found out about our product through wikipedia. Upon investigation, I found many of our competitors produts are also listed, so I thought it was appropriate to include our information since many of the other products are even younger than ours. There are two subject matter areas: our "Cinergy" product related to motion picture production and scriptwriting, and our Aviation product related to Microsoft Flight Simulator and the Garmin G1000. A list of external links is shown below where information about these products has been published by entities outside ourselves. However, since you have deleted all the articles, I don't have any way of re-creating them, I was using the wiki editor as the scratchpad for all of this, so if it's all gone, please let me know so when I start re-creating this, I save them in a separate location. I spent a lot of time trying to make everything as neutral as possible and it appears this is all gone now.

Is this the type of information you're looking for?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by IGuy (talkcontribs)

Yes. Let me know if you need help with this. --ElectricEye (talk) 18:16, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do need help with this because I'm not sure how to recover everything that I spent so much typing this morning. Is it truly all lost and I have to start over from scratch? Also, this morning, when I first saw the "speedy-deletion" get added to my article, I re-worded it, added a lot more supporting information, and removed the hangon tag. Apparently that was a bad thing to do, which it seems prompted someone to go out and delete every single edit I made this morning — Preceding unsigned comment added by IGuy (talkcontribs)

Re your message: The references you gave are fine, and there are others. You may be able to get your article undeleted, take a look at Wikipedia:Deletion review. For now, I created a temporary page under your userspace: User:IGuy/Cinergy MMPS. This shows the proper way of referencing. --ElectricEye (talk) 18:47, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have NO CLUE what anybody's talking about regarding removing a "speedy-delete" tag. I removed the holdon tag that I personally added when the system asked me to. At first, I thought someone was complaining that I removed the holdon tag, but in re-reading this, it sounds like they're talking about something completely differnet. I'm just about to give up on wiki at this point, I have no idea why what I had written (that got deleted) is any less relevant than any of the other articles I cited or linked to. The argument in the un-delete forum is making my head spin because there seems to be no consensus on what is allowable and what is not. This is not a very fulfilling first day here.
