Marco Verch images
[edit]I see you've embarked on a bit of a containment effort regarding edits by Kambojharsangeet. You may also want to monitor Guri.gogel and Spsinghs (from the same region, I believe), who also have a tendency to promote images by Wuestenigel/Marco Verch. - Thank you for the information. The user is promoting his pictures under CC-BY license and admonishing people who forgets the attribution as CEO of his 'plag(iate)hunter' company. Already found some sockpuppets and IPs. Greetings, ICCCC (talk) 22:11, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- I hadn't noticed this before, but I see it on his LinkedIn page now. This is very interesting. So he's trying to put his images all over Wiki, then looking for people who are re-using those images. For what purpose, do you think? To get money from them? Or as a white hat effort to weed out plagiarism? Ibadibam (talk) :22:18, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- He is definitively earning money. A friend of mine showed me an invoice of the CEO regarding his own pictures (not from a customer). His claims are although unjustified according to german law as his license fees are too high. ICCCC (talk) 08:20, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- These all images are freely distributed and i'm using wiki common pics for wikipedia articles where it increase article value. Anyone can use same. Please let me know if any issue. Kambojharsangeet (talk) 03:14, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
- Ofc. That's why you use pictures of only one user. ICCCC (talk) 08:20, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
