New caction tool
[edit]I'm pleased to inform you that my caction tool v2 is now released. To update to the new version, replace the link to the old version in your monobook.js with
- {{subst:js|User:Haza-w/cactions.js}}
The reason I can't simply replace the old version is that the new one doesn't quite work for admins, and I'm still waiting for assistance before I completely roll it out.
Tell me what you think of it. If there are any bugs, then let me know, including your browser version in the report. Thanks, and I hope you like the new version! haz (user talk)e 16:12, 17 March 2006

Re: birthdays
[edit]Good idea, excpt that someone has to be willing to update it everyday...Osbus 20:04, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Re: ideas
[edit]1. My only problem with the rock and roll b-day section is that it is way too long. You know, I think I'll just update it everyday as long as you send me the birthdays each week.
2. Band of the Week- Good one, and it was my idea in the beginning but no one liked it. But screw them, I think the first one should be a famous one, but not as out there as say, The Beatles. How about The Clash, to accompany the featured article.
3. A directory to Category:Guitarists, Bassists etc- No, would be too long
4.Instrument/Musician of the Week- sorry but too narrow, if we've got band of the week. But we can combine Musician of the Week with Band of the Week
5. Rock and Roll quotes- great idea
6. Selected Picture- What are your ideas?
So, the two new categories we have are Band/Musician of the week and Rock and Roll quotes. I'll maintain them w/ your suggestions. si?Osbus 22:13, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
portal
[edit]yeah, you can work on the directory. As for the album covers, that's a good idea. Maybe we should include album covers from more recent bands, since we have older bands featured already.Osbus 00:21, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Jackie Robinson
[edit]I repled to your comment at talk:Jackie Robinson. I think that you need to be more specific about what you think is not NPOV. BlankVerse 18:25, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Holy Roman Empire map
[edit]Hello, there is a mistake in your map [4] -- Denmark (and territories immidiately south of the present border, at that time under the Danish crown) was not part of the Holy Roman Empire. I'm not really into playing around with images, so I'll leave it to you. Thanks! Hestemand 20:01, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

Elections
[edit]Thanks for supporting me in the Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. Although I wasn't elected to the Advisory Council, I am very happy with the response I received from my fellow Wikipedians. I was shocked at the support, and was touched by it. Hopefully I will re-apply in June and try again for the job. Thanks again, Highway Rainbow Sneakers

WikiProject The Beatles Newsletter Issue 1 - May 2006
|
Welcome to the inaugural issue of The Beatles WikiProject's newsletter! We hope that this newsletter will help members—especially those who may be unable to keep up with some of the rapid developments that tend to occur—find new things to do within the project that they may wish to participate in. Please consider this inital issue to be a prototype; as always, any comments and suggestions are quite welcome. We would like to emphasise that this is a collaborative Project and all editors are equal - so next month the newsletter editor might be you! kingboyk, LessHeard vanU and Lar
The Project has got off to a great start but we really need your help to keep it going. Here's a few things you can do:
Complete Todo List:
As the project is currently just starting, our more experienced editors are working on the project infrastructure, classifying articles, and listing/assessing red links. Your assistance is welcome. If you would prefer to just edit - and why wouldn't you? - we have a choice selection of red links to turn blue and articles to clean! Now let's get busy.
If you complete one of these tasks, please remove it from the list and add your achievement to the project log. |

The matter of the article History of the Beatles and the History section of the main article The Beatles continues to concern various editors, including DavidWBrooks and Vera, Chuck & Dave. Suggestions, comments, or help with the task would be much appreciated.
The Beatles have been in the real world news recently, but work on The Beatles Project continues as before. This newsletter keeps you up-to-date with what has been happening with the project and, perhaps more importantly, what needs to be done (see the "Issue of the Month" above and the "To Do List" below-left). If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy! Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 003 – July 2006). All and any contributions are welcome. Just let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or start editing!

Hello IAMTHEEGGMAN. I noticed recently on Esperanza's Trading Spaces program that you were listed as a member renovating another's userpage. I am here to tell you that the Trading Spaces program has left Esperanza and has merged into WikiProject User Page Help. WikiProject User Page Help is a new WikiProject designed to help Wikipedians with the technical side of Wikipedia, HTML codes, markups, etc. It has been discussed and the Trading Spaces program has been merged into the our new WikiProject. I have also come to invite you to our new project. If you would like to become a member, feel free to add your name to the list of participants. Whether you join or not, you're still free to join the Trading Spaces program. Cheers! — The King of Kings 22:17, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
A short Esperanzial update
[edit]As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Preparing articles for inclusion in Wikipedia 1.0.
It was a bit of a struggle to get this month's newsletter done, as we did it without a lead editor. Hopefully, next month you'll jump in and be our lead editor. Big news is that WP:1.0 is coming along nicely and our article classification system has changed to conform to it. If you've just joined, add your name to the Participants section of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles. You'll get a mention in the next issue of the Newsletter and get it delivered as desired. Also, please include your own promotions and awards in future issues. Don't be shy! Lastly, this is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue (Issue 004 – August 2006). Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned, or just start editing!

As mentioned in the Project News section, The Beatles article has just been listed for a review of its Featured Article status. Working on this is quite important.
