If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Victor Chrysostom McIntyre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. hi, why are you suggesting this to be deleted? he was the ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago for 25 years in Washington, so a politicla figure of historical interest - yes the article is not complete I&I22 (talk) 16:11, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As it stands at the moment, the article in question shows no indication of importance, with only a single general reference that you have copied the large majority of the article from; only one sentence is free from copyright violations. This is not a good thing. While yes he may be an interesting figure, there are seemingly no sources that show significant coverage, that are reliable and are independent of the topic. CommissarDoggoTalk? 16:21, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
thank you for the clarification CommissarDoggo, yes it is just a start to actually to get it done, will reword etc later, a+ I&I22 (talk) 16:29, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you wish to make an article in the future, please go through the draft and articles for creation process, that way the article won't immediately be in mainspace where people can readily access it in an unready state. I can see you've used it before.
What I would advise you to do instead is to not make an article yet. Instead, do some tasks like citation hunting or typo correction to learn a bit more about how basic functions work.
After you've got a bit of time under your belt, look at improving some stub class articles in your area of interest. Most active WikiProjects will have a list of stub class articles related to them.
I'll also be sending you a welcome message with some helpful tutorials. Making your first article is a very difficult thing to do even for editors with thousands of edits, don't be disheartened. CommissarDoggoTalk? 16:38, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Thank you for your message Orange Mike. Excuse me am learning the ropes here. I am not at all receiving any money for any contributions I make here. My work is purely voluntary/altruistic in support of his legacy as some of the information and photos uploaded for Marc Mac/4hero are incorrect. I am not friends with or even an acquaintance of Marc Mac/4hero. I only offered support to correct his biography so that it is accurate for his fans. Also an incorrect photo was shared widely. All will be cited. Thanks again and will update 216.239.66.160 (talk) 11:32, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
