Engineering

[edit]

Please stop adding structural engineering to the list of "major branches" of engineering in the Engineering article. We cannot include every possible branch of engineering in that list (that's what the Fields of engineering article is for). At present, the list of "major branches" is based on the reference given in the article. If you would like to propose a different reference, please feel free to do so at Talk:Engineering. But adding engineering branches that don't appear in the current reference simply negates the use of the reference, which goes against policy. Thanks. --Allan McInnes (talk) 20:45, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense notice

[edit]

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to MIStructE. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Storkk 15:32, 9 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
