Hello, thank you for the warning. I'm not sure if I understand correctly. My native language is Czech and it's a struggle with English :-) Can I prevent deleting an article by adding more citations from the literature? It is no problem, the album is mentioned in all books about The Searchers, because well... this is their last album. Although it was not successful and not released in their native country, the band itself is (was) world-famous, so I consider their latest album is relevant to an article on Wikipedia. Lukas Huttershofen (talk) 10:33, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Huttershofen: I gave some advice. The article is at risk of deletion - it can still be improved. If you know of books that cite this album, then it would be important to include the book page numbers where the final album is written about. This will help the article. More literature about this album - yes, this will help - yes, this is important. Thank you. --Whiteguru (talk) 19:53, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Dear Whiteguru, thank you for your advice, I added some books, two music encyclopedias, one book about Liverpool bands and the Searchers' bass guitarist autobiography (the last one I got only in Kindle, so the page number is from this, I don't have the paper book at home). Hope it will be enough. Lukas Huttershofen (talk) 00:14, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Using the Wikipedia Library Card Platform (you can sign up for this), I found one reference below:
WE'LL be playing all the old hits. We'd never cheat people out of that," announces frontman Frank Allen on the eve of The Searchers' first tour of New Zealand since 1966. That means audiences can expect gems like Sweets for My Sweet, their No 1 hit in 1963, and a string of classics like Needles and Pins, Love Potion Number Nine and When You Walk in the Room -- a song a young Bruce Springsteen played so often he wore out the grooves on his record. They'll also be playing newer material like Somebody Told Me You Were Crying, from 1989's Hungry Hearts -- their last studio album. "There's an awful lot more than that because we've really improved over the years," promises Allen. "We've learnt how to pace a show and entertain audiences, which we couldn't do in the '60s because when we stood on stage and did half a dozen songs, people just screamed." SAMPSON, Desmond.
