WikiProject Weather 2022 C/B Class Drive

[edit]

Hello HurricaneResearcher! WikiProject Weather is doing a drive during 2022 to get all new 2022 weather articles to at least C class, with the hope of B Class. I thought you might be interested in the WP Weather drive, so I wanted to drop a message about it. Elijahandskip (talk) 20:09, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making stub articles without expanding the section in the season article first. You made a new article for Alice without adding any new content, so there was no need for a new article. Do you need help finding sources? Otherwise, there's no need to resurrect old articles. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:43, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About removing redirects and notability

[edit]

Hi, I've noticed that you've been reverting redirects back to when they were full pages, and that you have been reverted multiple times. Please understand that for an article to be created/restored from a redirect, it must be notable. All storms technically meet the general notability guideline, which would be too much work and redundant since a lot of storm's summaries can remain in the season article, so a general rule of thumb is if the storm caused damage/fatalities, it is notable enough to have an article. Also, if you do decide to create new articles, please remember that if you copy from the season page/any other Wikipedia page, you must read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and properly attribute your edits. Ok I will stop.

[edit]

I am not doing that.

Hi there @HurricaneResearcher:. It's clear that you are interested and eager to write about tropical cyclones. I think you might need some help editing Wikipedia though. Would you mind if I give you some pointers? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:10, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
