Please see my response. —Dgiest c 21:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I won't yet, as I am going to assume good faith, but I do have a strange feeling about this. -- The Hybrid 21:54, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At the moment I would like to keep as much info to my self as I can until I do some basic investigation. It is nothing that anyone will notice, or that will affect you. Don't worry, -- The Hybrid 22:01, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you aren't who I was thinking of. Now, how did you find my RfA? -- The Hybrid 22:11, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How did you "just find it"? RfAs are fairly obscure. Did you click on a link somewhere? If so, where? -- The Hybrid 22:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can't....

You said: "What is wrong? Length is all I can see."

I have no idea what you are talking about. --Yamla 22:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That username is too close to User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me. Prodego talk 22:36, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are very long odds that that user would pick that name without knowing about CSCWEM, and that account probably is only going to be used to attack him. Therefore, it was blocked. Prodego talk 22:40, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but this account was properly blocked because it is too close the CSCWEM's name. It therefore is a probably attack/impersonation account. For more common names we are more lenient, but that is a very distinctive name, unlikely ever to be picked. Prodego talk 22:47, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but there will be problems with the name, due to its similarity to CSCWEM. That user can just create an account under a new, better name, and can edit that way. Prodego talk 22:51, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Low, the threat is that the account will be blocked due to the name again. Prodego talk 22:56, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Highly doubtful. I suggest you contact the blocking admin, which is Persian Poet Gal. Prodego talk 23:11, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately User:Can'tEatClownsWillSleepWithMe is way too similar to User:Can't sleep, clown will eat me. Registering a name very similar to another username is considered inappropriate because it could easily be confused with said contributor or be considered as an impersonation account; even if the intent was not malicious, (see this part of the WP:U policy). Its considered very uncontroversial to block such names on sight. I had a spoofer once called User:Perpan poe pal. One could argue to assume good faith yet it was also blocked for being an impersonation account due to the similarity in its reading. However, it is very considerate of you to remind how important it is to assume good faith and not be too quick to fire any trigger buttons when dealing with new users. In this case though, I believe it was safer to follow WP:U and block the account for direct impersonation.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:42, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I don't know how I got blocked. I was actually quite helpful. Hunted by A.K.G. 23:38, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Was an autoblock, autoblock declined below. — Renesis (talk) 00:02, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I don't see anything on your block log...were you autoblocked? Please provide the block message you are currently seeing.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:43, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it was an autoblock. I see that now. Hunted by A.K.G. 23:44, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You need to tell us the block message, or we can't unblock you. Prodego talk 23:45, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Ivebenndead5000years". The reason given for Ivebenndead5000years's block is: "Page move vandalism.".

Decline reason: Sorry but posting the unblock messages two minutes apart and both you and the other editor using the same static IP looks highly suspicious. ¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 23:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice this, and that you two posted unblock messages 2 minutes apart. The IP is static. Is "Ivebenndead5000years" someone using the same internet connection as you, probably right now? Prodego talk 23:51, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I use a local wireless network with one address. Once before, when the kid up the street used it, I was autoblocked. I used to edit as an anon. Hunted by A.K.G. 23:53, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you secure that network then. Unfortunately the probability of sockpuppetry is too high for me to feel comfortable unblocking. Note that the block will expire in 24 hours though, and any other admin can make a different decision. Therefore, I am leaving the template up. Prodego talk 23:58, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
