Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Mustard oil, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Your edit is minor content, WP:UNDUE, and does not have a WP:RS source to justify including it. Zefr (talk) 14:59, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. But the references in the article have incorrect information. I have pictures of the product on the shelf. As an academic I have had to correct statements with numerous in accurate references and observation with proof in the form of data and visual evidence should trump soft statements in lay journalism. Even peer reviewed academic journals can have in accurate information. Is there a way I could share the photos? Huntbobo (talk) 01:25, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Mustard oil. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. This is your personal observation, which is WP:OR, and it is promotional, WP:PROMO. Zefr (talk) 01:25, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was careful this time to avoid and promotional information and I do not have any conflicts of interest. Huntbobo (talk) 01:27, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The edit history shows you are talking about Walmart in one US location; that could be inferred to apply to many Walmart stores regionally or nationally. The information is not encyclopedic, and is too minor to mention, WP:UNDUE. Zefr (talk) 01:32, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Correction “avoid any promotional “ Huntbobo (talk) 01:36, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. On my talk page, you said:
Sorry I don’t know how to properly edit errors in Wikipedia. The mustard seed oil information is incorrect and I know it form real life observation. I don’t have the time or inclination to find a reference for this and describe how the current error was made. But since you are an experienced master editor could you correct it in the proper way. There should be some mechanism to easily identify who is responsible for this misinformation and communicate the error to them so they can fix it. I have not studied the information on medical editing. But it looks interesting and I will study the medical editing information when I have time in the future. Please do what you can to get this one error corrected till I have time to learn the skills to do it properly. Thanks.
Your first edit was "That being said expellar pressed mustard seed cooking oil under the brand name Carrington Farms, is for sale in Walmart in Pontotoc, Mississippi. The source is from Australia According to the bottle." In my edit summary reverting your edit, I said the content was "undue" (i.e., not notable) and did not have a reliable secondary source.
I suggest that you not worry about this information being in the article. It isn't encyclopedic content that, say - a teenager in Nigeria using Wikipedia for a high school class - would need to know or likely be interested in researching further. Zefr (talk) 02:46, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
