Like the Western Australian Farmers Federation labyrinthian history - the early stages of the CBH, Grain Pool and various farmers groups all need clear separate articles (or good summaries of the shenannagians as illustrated in the time line at the Western Australian Farmers Federation article).

Anything of any sort that you can do to help with anything to do with it all is appreciated - it sure is a lot more complex than first meets the eye - even trying to look at a cbh site in the wheatbelt without any textual help - the range of structures, types and possible variations - is not straight forward.

Nullarbor article

Looks very much like something the state of the goldfields water supply article has been in for about 5 years now - great potential, a mess and probably a lot of hard work to fix up to a good standard - are you interested in sharing some off wiki info to see what we can dop to build either up at all? just an idea (like many others...) btw well done for the dyks on the station articles! sats 14:23, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

at my work today I found the WAGR annual report for 1932 which identified the first 5 sidings by which the whole cbh system started - however I started removing the link to cbh as cbh didnt start until a year or so later - it was really wesfarmers and or the wheat pool that was the official name against the start of the system, sorry if i didnt do it very well - but now that i have found the details of the 5 i have put the info in a number of arts - cheers satusuro 09:57, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

The Shire of Merredin was today advised by Brookfield (who run the grain freight rails) that they will be closing the Quairading & Trayning lines at the end of this month. The remainder of the tier 3 lines will stay open over harvest but no firm decision on their future is to be expected until early next year from facebook. satusuro 12:09, 2 October 2013 (UTC)

Howdy. It seems our mutual friend didn't like my choice of name for a category for islands off the Goldfields-Esperence coast. FYI - I have no barrow to push - I just want a complete set of categories into which I can plonk each of the 1,000+ islands. If you have a look at my talk page, you'll see that he's got a few extra things on his mind at the moment. If/when he or you or both of you can come up with a set of categories, I happy to use them. My preference is Category talk:Islands of Western Australia, particulary given that these categories will be subordinate to Category:Islands of Western Australia, AND that Category:Islands of Western Australia already contains:

• Islands of the Gascoyne (Western Australia)
• Islands of the Goldfields-Esperance region (Western Australia)
• Islands of the Great Southern (Western Australia)
• Islands of the Kimberley (Western Australia)
• Islands of the Mid West (Western Australia)
• Islands of the Perth region (Western Australia)
• Islands of the Pilbara (Western Australia)
• Islands of the South West (Western Australia)‎

i.e. It already contains "Island" entries for 8 of the 10 "Regions of Western Australia"

(i.e. I'm soliciting your opinion of my opinion/suggestion.)

have started the stub - I used to stay at melangata many years ago, the breezeway that hawes designed was a favourite spot for the big snakes... i really like his interest in towers, there are rumours on a very scattered grapevine the current owners have had the chapel collapse and the tower might have been repaired ok - as for the cbd i was wandering the cbd the same time the choppers and the coppers were wandering the route i take to get to the archives... apart from that its all chinese blessing - uninteresting... meka, and dalgaranga are much larger and more colourful with their histories i think. and the heat there (melangata), hahaha makes perth cbd like a mediterranean paradise - if not a bit more albany or augusta like... satusuro 12:43, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

wow - some more yalgoo station work (Meka) - great work... - do you have access to info that designates which pastoral leases the DEC/DPAW more or less resumed to be let go back to 'reserve status'? I think at least 5 in the Murchison/Yalgoo area in the last 20 years have had that done... any knowledge of that at all? The locals were bad tempered about it as it involved no maintenance of wells/etc and the claims were that some wildlife had grown dependant on the sources for survival satusuro 08:58, 25 January 2014 (UTC)

There was plenty of mentions of Meka when I was looking for stuff for Melangata, so it was pretty easy to put together (although not yet completed). As for resumption I haven't been able to find anything. I had looked online for any list of current pastoral leases and the only one that seems to exist is the one that you put on Wikipedia.Hughesdarren (talk) 09:22, 25 January 2014 (UTC)

Re resumption - I think there must be something somewhere - the era of my visits to the area was in the early 2000s when the local stations were making out of goat catching and selling on to the guys exporting (think long since gone as a viable business) - oh well... As for the pastoral lease list issue - have been in contact about 2 years ago with people who had lists of earlier era pastoral lease names and sizes - it makes the sorting of what was what and what became what a small headache, then about 2 years ago sold my large portraits of station owners in 1920s to a former archaeologist who works for one of the very big mining companies - and his life (then) was involved in buying and sealing pastoral leases to facilitate the mining companies activities .... no longer in contact with him though satusuro 09:34, 25 January 2014 (UTC)

iinet

My wife and I made the poor decision to change internet service providers to iinet recently. Unfortunately iinet seem to be particularly disinterested in providing any actual service and as a result we have been without the internet for the past 3 weeks and will now probably have to wait until at least the 21st of this month, assuming they comply with the telecommunication ombudsman order. North longitude?

I notice in a lot of articles you edited, you specified that the longitude coordinate of a point was in the north direction (when you meant east), which is incorrect and causes errors. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] I've been fixing them as I've seen them pop up, but it will take a while for them to all get categorized. Removed large and variegated response - to make lists as such is a pointless exercise unless adequate distinction is made as to identify the various jursidictions variations in management of rangelands. To make lists of stations per se might seem an innocent enough exercise for simple wikipedia say, but if a responsible wikipedia article about rangeland management or pastoral leases in different jurisdictions in Australia, a more thorough approach is required with adequate backup from official sources. satusuro 15:06, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello! Can I ask a favor, please? Regarding Sophie Hunter's page, in her infobox J. E. B. Seely, 1st Baron Mottistone is listed as her "maternal great-great-grandfather", if you double-check the source, Seely is actually only his "maternal great-grandfather". In her Background (Family) section, it also lists Seeley as "great-great-grandfather", can you please be so kind and remove the extra "great" to make it accurate? And describing Seeley as "World War I hero" can be considered fluffing and violates neutral point-of-view. The page should plainly describe him as a politician.
