Hugh grew up in the city of Johannesburg, living with his aunt's and cousins due to the lack of financial stability from his parents. He grew up with his cousins. He later got influenced by the hip-hop acts his cousins listened to. Since his cousins Zay Rose was a rapper,he also got influenced.
