Hello, Hstieb, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. The article Eleanor Boyer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability. Only sources are links to an archive which holds some of her films. No actual information about her in any of the sources. Likely to be still alive, so BLP makes it all the more important that info is sourced (marriage?).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. • Hi - what you need to find in order to show that Eleanor is notable enough for an article are things like coverage of her and/or her films in independent, reliable sources like newspapers or academic journals or texts. Per WP:FILMMAKER one of the qualifications for notability can be that their work is "represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums", however it has to be a fairly major repository to really qualify. You may want to see if you can merge a basic description of her into her husband's page - it looks like he has a source in his article for their marriage, so there's that. I'd also highly recommend looking in your school's online database to see if she's received any coverage in the past. Many newspapers will archive their older articles behind a paywall (that's usually accessible to universities) so she may have coverage there. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:27, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
